Timothée Chalamet Fined for Riding E-Bike to ‘A Complete Unknown’ London Premiere
Actor Timothée Chalamet receives £65 fine for improper e-bike parking at his film's London premiere.
Bollywood Mascot: Timothée Chalamet, known for his roles in films like Call Me by Your Name and Dune, made headlines with his unconventional arrival at the London premiere of his latest film, A Complete Unknown. To navigate through heavy traffic and promote eco-friendly transportation, Chalamet chose to ride a rented electric Lime bike to the event.
Dressed in a black suit paired with a blue printed shirt, Chalamet’s entrance was both stylish and environmentally conscious. However, the actor faced an unexpected consequence for his choice of transport. During an appearance on the French talk show Quotidien, Chalamet revealed that he received a £65 (approximately $79) fine for not parking the e-bike correctly. He humorously recounted the incident, stating, “There was a traffic jam. And I actually wasn’t allowed to park there [at the premiere], and I got a £65 fine.” He added, “And actually it’s horrible because it was actually kind of an advert for them.”
Lime, the company providing the e-bike rentals, typically imposes fines ranging from £10 to £20 for improper parking. In Chalamet’s case, the fine was notably higher, possibly due to the location and circumstances.
Despite the fine, Chalamet’s eco-friendly gesture garnered attention and sparked discussions about sustainable transportation choices. A Complete Unknown, in which Chalamet portrays music legend Bob Dylan, is currently showing in theaters.
