Nani’s much-awaited action thriller The Paradise has received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on September 24, 2026. Directed by Srikanth Odela, the film has undergone several modifications before receiving certification.
The CBFC changes include alterations to scenes involving bloodshed, violence and torture, along with modifications to certain dialogues and visuals. The certification process was completed on September 21, with the film receiving an adults-only certificate.
The Paradise Gets an ‘A’ Certificate

Nani plays the central character Jadal in the film, which marks his reunion with director Srikanth Odela after their previous collaboration Dasara.

CBFC Orders Changes to Violent Scenes
According to the certification details, the CBFC asked the makers to modify several sequences featuring violence, bloodshed and torture.
The duration of a violent stabbing visual was reduced, while multiple other scenes containing blood spills and violent imagery were also removed or modified.

Crow on National Flag Visual Changed

Dialogues and References Also Modified
The CBFC changes were not limited to visuals. Certain dialogues and words were also modified, muted or deleted.
A reference to a “denotified tribe” was removed. Some foul words were muted, while a tattoo containing an objectionable word was covered through CGI.
The film also contained references related to armed struggle against the country. These references were modified or muted at multiple points.
A reference connected to a real-life assassination and historical events was also muted during the certification process.
Reference to Cigarette Brand Censored
The CBFC certification details also mention changes related to a cigarette brand. The reference was censored, and statutory smoking warnings were inserted where required.
Some place names appearing in the film were also covered or altered using computer graphics. A politician’s name was reportedly deleted from the subtitles.
These changes were part of the broader set of modifications made before the final certification.
The Paradise Runtime
After the required modifications were completed, The Paradise was cleared by the CBFC on September 21.
The certification document lists the film’s duration at approximately 173 minutes, which is around 2 hours and 53 minutes. Other reports based on the certification document have cited a slightly different runtime presentation, but the film remains close to three hours long.
The long runtime, combined with the ‘A’ certificate, indicates that the film is being positioned as an intense adult-oriented action drama.

The Paradise brings Nani and director Srikanth Odela together again after their successful collaboration on Dasara.
The upcoming film features Nani as Jadal and also stars Kayadu Lohar, Raghav Juyal, Mohan Babu, Sonali Kulkarni and Sampoornesh Babu in important roles.
Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music for the project, which is produced by SLV Cinemas.
