Sachin Sharma fills a void in the hearts of Ghazal lovers with his newly released composition “Rawana Karke”

If there was one ghazal in 2023 that has the ingredient of magic, it is modern ghazal sensation Sachin Sharma’s “Rawana Karke”. “Rawana Karke”, released in April 2023, has all the ingredients to fill the space in the hearts of ghazal lovers. The demise of Ghazal legend Jagjit Singh over a decade ago left an emptiness for ghazal listeners, and ghazal fans say that Sachin Sharma’s soulful soothing voice and authentic composition provides hope for the future of this genre. Some excellent musicians also contributed to the music in “Rawana Karke” such as world renowned Indian guitarist Chintoo Singh Wasir and rhythmist Chetan Sharma.

Sachin Sharma was introduced as a music composer and singer by the ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh in Roy Thomson Hall, Toronto, Canada in 2005, rendering his composition “Ankh Jab Band Kiya Karte Hai”. The ghazal legend Jagjit Singh also introduced Sachin Sharma’s debut album as a music composer and singer, Samarpan, released in 2008.
