Ratlam’s Rising Star Santy Sharma Enters Bollywood with Housefull 5 Anthem
Santy Sharma makes power-packed debut in Sajid Nadiadwala’s comedy blockbuster
Ratlam-born rapper and singer Santy Sharma has officially stepped into the glitz and glamour of Bollywood with his debut playback track for Housefull 5, one of the most anticipated comedy blockbusters of the year. Released worldwide on June 6, 2025, the film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and helmed by director Tarun Mansukhani, best known for hits like Dostana and Drive.
Santy Sharma’s Voice Behind the Anthem Track
Santy Sharma’s voice can be heard on a high-energy anthem song composed by Julius Packiam, the acclaimed music director behind chart-toppers from Ek Tha Tiger, Dhoom 3, Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai, Bharat, and 83. Known for his strong musical storytelling, Packiam collaborated with Santy to deliver a pulsating number designed to energize audiences across India.
The song is said to blend raw rap energy with cinematic scale — a signature style that Santy has become known for in his independent releases. This Bollywood debut marks a new milestone for the young artist who has been steadily rising in the Indian hip-hop and rap circuit.
Star-Studded Film and Musical Ensemble
Housefull 5 continues the legacy of the popular Housefull franchise with an even grander scale. The film boasts a multistarrer cast, including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, Chitrangada Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, and Nana Patekar, promising full-blown entertainment.
Alongside Julius Packiam, the film’s music department features some of the industry’s most celebrated names like Tanishk Bagchi and Yo Yo Honey Singh, ensuring a dynamic and diverse soundtrack.
Santy Sharma: From Ratlam to the National Stage
Expressing his excitement, Santy shared, “Being part of a big film like Housefull 5 is a dream come true. I’ve always believed in staying true to my sound, and it’s an honour to bring that same vibe into Bollywood.”
He extended his gratitude to Julius Packiam and the film’s entire creative team, adding that this opportunity is not just a personal victory but a proud moment for Ratlam. Santy is the first rapper from the city to break into mainstream Bollywood and is fast becoming a representative of the growing independent music talent from smaller towns in India.
Independent Roots and Future Aspirations
Prior to this breakthrough, Santy released several independent tracks and recently dropped his solo album titled Reborn, which received praise in the underground music community. He credits his success to the unwavering support of his family, without whom, he says, none of this would have been possible.
With Housefull 5 adding a major Bollywood credit to his name, Santy Sharma is poised for greater heights — not just as a rapper, but as a voice that’s putting small-town talent on India’s musical map.
