Kesari Box Office Collection Day 2: Akshay Kumar's latest period drama flick Kesari opened to impressive response on its day one. The film, which released on Holi festival, has earned Rs 37.75 crore in its first two days.
The Akshay Kumar starrer film opened at Rs 21.06 crore and followed it up with Rs 16.70 crore on the second day (Friday) at the domestic Box Office. The dip was expected as the period drama flick released on a weekday holiday.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the Kesari Box Office figures on Twitter, He tweeted, "Kesari is solid on Day 2... Decline on a working day - after a holiday - is common, but the decline is less this time... Will score big numbers on Day 3 and 4... Is chasing a huge total in its *extended weekend*... Thu 21.06 cr, Fri 16.70 cr. Total: ₹ 37.76 cr. India biz."
The film has already made a record of the biggest opener of 2019 beating Gully Boy which was collected 19.40 on opening day. Anurag Singh directorial is expected to big numbers over the next two days. It is to be seen how much growth it shows over the weekend.
Based on the Battle of Saragarhi, Kesari directed by Anurag Singh, and it stars Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra in the lead role.
