Chhapaak 8th Day Box Office Collection: Deepika Padukone's Chhapaak saw a massive drop on 2nd Friday (Day 8) at the Indian box office. Chhapaak collected Rs 75 lakh on 8th Day (2nd Friday) at the domestic box office collection, bringing its total collection to Rs 29.13 crore.

Deepika Padukone, a co-producer of Chhapaak movie, stands with JNU Students during the recent protests is also being cited as one of the reasons behind the poor performance of the film at the box office.

Chhapaak facing stiff competition from Tanhaji and Good Newwz and the film have only one more week to cash in on the business, before the new releases including Panga starring Kangna Ranaut and Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor’s Street Dancer 3D which is set to hit the screens on January 24.

Apart from Deepika, Chhapaak also stars Vikrant Messey in a key role and its helmed by Meghna Gulzar.
