Fans attending Diljit Dosanjh's much-awaited concert in Delhi on October 30 have received a major travel convenience. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced that metro train services will operate until midnight on Friday to facilitate the movement of spectators attending the singer's 'Aura India Tour 2026' concert at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
The concert is expected to attract approximately 70,000 people, many of whom are likely to depend on public transport to reach the venue and return home after the performance. The extended metro timings are aimed at managing the expected rush and ensuring smoother passenger movement following the event.
Delhi Metro Services to Run Till 12 Midnight
According to the DMRC announcement, metro services will be extended until 12 midnight on October 30 across all lines, except the Airport Express Line and Rapid Metro, Gurugram.
The corporation has also planned additional train trips across the network to help concertgoers disperse after the performance. Standby trains will remain available for deployment if passenger numbers increase unexpectedly.
The QR ticket purchasing timings on the Delhi Metro Sarthi mobile application will also be extended by one hour in view of the revised operating schedule.
These arrangements are intended to make public transport a convenient option for thousands of fans travelling to and from the stadium.
JLN Stadium Metro Station to Be the Nearest Station
JLN Stadium Metro Station on the Violet Line is the nearest metro station to Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The station connects the Kashmere Gate-Raja Nahar Singh corridor and is expected to witness significant passenger movement during the concert.
DMRC has announced additional arrangements at JLN Stadium station and important interchange stations. More customer service personnel and Customer Facilitation Agents will be deployed to guide passengers and regulate crowds.
Additional security personnel, Door Frame Metal Detectors (DFMDs) and enhanced screening arrangements will also be introduced to ensure orderly movement.
Diljit Dosanjh Requests Fans to Use the Metro
Diljit Dosanjh has also encouraged fans to use Delhi Metro services for travelling to the concert.
In a video message, the singer informed his followers that the stadium does not have general parking facilities and advised them to avoid bringing private vehicles.
He explained that the metro station is close to the venue, making it easier for fans to reach the concert, enjoy the performance and return home using public transport.
The singer's appeal comes amid expectations of heavy traffic around the stadium and adjoining areas.
