The update can be conveniently processed via the myAadhaar portal, while Aadhaar Service Centers will levy a nominal charge of Rs. 50 for the same service.
Scope of Free Updates
Users can utilize the free update service to make changes in their address and document details through the myAadhaar portal. However, certain alterations, such as updating phone numbers or biometric information, will require a visit to an Aadhaar Service Center.
Steps for Online Document Submission
- Visit the official myAadhaar website: https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/
- Click on the ‘Document Update’ option.
- Explore the ‘What To Submit’ section to identify the documents required for submission.
- Click on ‘Click to Submit’ after selecting the applicable documents.
- Enter your Aadhaar number, CAPTCHA code, and OTP for verification.
- Click on ‘Document Update,’ verify your details, and click on the hyperlink.
- Choose the identification proof and address proof documents from the dropdown list.
- Scan and submit a copy of your address details.
- Upon completion, a 14-digit Update Request Number (URN) will be generated.
