Story

The film revolves story of Tapan Das (Akshay Kumar) who has only dream to make India gold in hockey. His dream ruined twice because the world is facing the tragedy of World War II for the first time, and for the second time the British pulled the Redcliffe line and made two pieces of Hindustan. Rest of the story of the film is all about how Tapan manages to win first gold as a free nation.

Acting

Akshay Kumar is back with another solid content-driven film. He explores every shade and nails it with perfection. Mouni Roy makes an outstanding debut. Her chemistry with Akshay Kumar is effortless. Other star casts also give Terrific Performances.

Verdict

Akshay Kumar’s Gold is a classic sports drama film that is filled with outstanding performances by rest of the actors. Reema Kagti shows an insightful and engaging story and takes us back to that moment in history, which is not often talked about or celebrated.
