The film collected 21.51 crore on Sunday (Day 4) at the domestic box office. The film now stands at 78.07 crores and is now expected to hold its own during the weekday.

Critics and Audiences applauded Akshay Kumar's impressive performance. Noted film expert Taran Adarsh shared Kesari Day 4 Box Office Collection on Twitter. He wrote, “#Kesari puts up an impressive total… North circuits are superb… While the 4-day total is good, the biz on Sat and Sun should’ve been higher, since the word of mouth is excellent… Thu 21.06 cr, Fri 16.75 cr, Sat 18.75 cr, Sun 21.51 cr. Total: ₹ 78.07 cr. India biz”.

After registering the highest opening day collection of 2019, the film also broke the record of the highest opening weekend collection of 2019 by surpassing Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy, which was earned 72.45 crores.

Kesari features Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra in the lead role, the film based on the 1897 Battle of Saraghari and helmed by Anurag Singh.
