Akshay Kumar’s film Padman is holding up very well at the box office. The film made on the social issues, such as Sanitary Pad and Period, has been well-received by critics and has also received positive word of mouth from the audience. According to Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh, Padman Collected 7.05 crores on Wednesday (Day 6) at domestic Box Office. With this, the film’s earnings in the domestic box office have reached to 59.09 crores in six days.
Padman is based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganatham from Tamil Nadu, who invented the sanitary pad machine. His story was written by Akshay’s wife, Twinkle Khanna in her book and then convinced him to make a film on it.
Padman also features Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor in the lead role along with Akshay. The film directed by R.Balki, and it was released on 9 February 2018.
