Rohit Shetty’s latest addition to his cop universe, Singham Again, has hit the theaters with a star-studded cast and is receiving strong reactions from audiences. With a runtime of 2 hours and 24 minutes, this crime drama has secured a rating of 4.7.

What’s the Story of Singham Again?

The storyline of Singham Again is inspired by the tale of the Ramayana. The film kicks off in Kashmir, where DCP Bajirao Singham (played by Ajay Devgn) captures a terrorist mastermind, Umar Hafeez (Jackie Shroff). Meanwhile, Singham’s wife, Avani (Kareena Kapoor), is abducted by a brutal criminal named Zubair (played by Arjun Kapoor).

There is a link between Zubair and Umar, transforming the story into a gripping revenge drama. Much like Lord Rama setting out to rescue Sita from Ravana in Ramayana, DCP Singham ventures into dangerous territory to bring his wife Avani back. This battle gets heated as Singham is joined by other characters from the cop universe, including Sooryavanshi (Akshay Kumar), Simmba (Ranveer Singh), Satya Bali (Tiger Shroff), and Shakti Shetty (Deepika Padukone). To find out if Singham succeeds in his rescue mission, you’ll have to watch the film.

How is the Star Cast’s Acting?

Ajay Devgn, reprising his role as Bajirao Singham, truly shines with his powerful dialogue delivery and strong presence. Ranveer Singh brings humor to his character Simmba, delivering laughs and light moments that balance the intense action. Tiger Shroff’s high-action sequences add excitement, while Akshay Kumar’s cameo as Sooryavanshi is impactful. Toward the film’s climax, Salman Khan’s iconic Chulbul Pandey character also makes an appearance, making the film feel even grander.

Rohit Shetty’s direction amplifies the visual appeal of the film. One of the highlights is the sequence where Simmba (Ranveer Singh) sets Zubair’s territory ablaze—a scene reminiscent of Hanuman burning Lanka to rescue Sita in Ramayana. This thrilling scene is likely to receive applause. While the film maintains a mostly engaging narrative, some scenes might feel a bit immature or out of place in otherwise serious moments. Overall, however, Shetty has kept the film sharp, ensuring the audience stays entertained.

The background score complements the high-octane action sequences well, adding to the intensity. The songs are decent and blend well with the film’s themes, fitting naturally into the storyline.

Should You Watch Singham Again?

Singham Again is a high-voltage action-drama that fans of action movies will appreciate. With its Ramayana-inspired storyline, the film’s release during the Diwali season adds a special touch. This star-studded cast featuring Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, and a cameo from Salman Khan is a treat for audiences, promising both thrills and entertainment.
