In 2019, Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam starrer Uri – The Surgical Strike impressed the audience. The film directed by Aditya Dhar is one of the most successful films of 2019. And now Sanjay Leela Bhansali join hands with Bhushan Kumar, Mahaveer Jain and Pragya Kapoor for the film on Balakot Airstrike, conducted by the Indian Air Force in February this year. The film will be directed by Abhishek Kapoor.

The Balakot Airstrike, which took place in 2019, was carried out on the morning of 26 February in the occupied Kashmir of Pakistan.
This year, Uri – The Surgical Strike has given Bollywood a new genre. The film performed phenomenally at the box office. The film collected over 240 crores leaving behind all expectations and remains the third-highest net collecting film of 2019 so far. While Vicky Kaushal played the lead role in the film, Paresh Rawal and Yami Gautam also plays an important role.
Actor Vivek Oberoi had also announced a film on Wing Commander Abhinandan. The film will go on floors this year and is supposed to hit screens in 2020.
