Katrina Kaif joins Akshay Kumar's cop drama Sooryavanshi: Bharat Actress Katrina Kaif has been roped in for Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi directed by Rohit Shetty. The actress will be seen essaying role of Kumar's wife in the cop drama.
Sooryavanshi will be Katrina’s sixth film with Akshay. The due earlier worked together in several super hit films such as Namaste London, Singh is Kinng, Welcome and Humko Deewana Kar Gaye. Akshay and Katrina's pair last seen together in Tees Maar Khan.
Sooryavanshi actor Akshay Kumar welcomed the actress on Twitter on Monday. He wrote, "Welcome to our COP UNIVERSE #KatrinaKaif...OUR SOORYAVANSHI GIRL."
Talking about Sooryavanshi, It will be the fourth film of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. Akshay Kumar plays anti-terror squad officer role in the film. Akshay Kumar's character was introduced in the Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, starring Ranveer Singh.
Bankrolled by Karan Johar, the film set hit the screens on Eid 2020, clashing with the Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt-starrer Inshallah.
