Shetty dedicated nearly a year to mastering this ancient discipline, which is renowned for its scientific and historical significance. Originating from Kerala, Kalaripayattu was traditionally practiced by the warrior communities of the region, such as the Nair and Ezhava.

Self-Performed Stunts in Kantara

In Kantara, Shetty performed many of his stunts himself, including the intense Kambala bull race sequences. Kambala is a traditional buffalo race that takes place in the muddy fields of Karnataka's coastal region, known for its cultural significance. Shetty’s commitment to doing his stunts without body doubles demonstrates his dedication to authenticity in his roles.

Release Date and Directorial Debut
