Alia Bhatt's upcoming film Jigra is set to hit theaters soon, and this time, she’s taking on an action-packed role like never before. Judging by the trailer, Alia is poised to give Bollywood's male actors tough competition in the action genre. In the film, she stars alongside Vedang Raina, who plays the male lead.

The trailer presents a mix of emotional and powerful moments. Vedang Raina's character, Ankur, gets involved in a drug case while abroad. The police are trying to force a confession from him, subjecting him to severe torture. Both Satya and Ankur are orphans, and Satya has only three months to save her brother. Throughout the trailer, we see her checking in on him over the phone to ensure he isn’t being mistreated. In her quest to protect him, she faces numerous risks. In one intense scene, she threatens to cut her wrists, while in another, she takes a bullet during a fight. Despite all these hardships, Satya shows no sign of fear. In Jigra, Alia Bhatt is fully embracing her action-star persona, a far cry from the emotional roles she is typically known for. When Will the Film Jigra Release?

After Darlings in 2022, Jigra marks Alia Bhatt’s second film as a producer. Her production house, Eternal Sunshine, has collaborated with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions for the film. Jigra is slated for release on October 11 in theaters.
