The filmmakers believe that this new title better suits the movie's storyline and has a stronger impact. The film is inspired by an incredible real-life rescue operation, and the new title reflects the significance of the mission. Trade sources suggest that The Great Indian Rescue is slated for a theatrical release this year, and it may be Akshay Kumar's next film after Selfiee. However, the Soorarai Pottru remake is also scheduled to release on September 1, and it is unclear which film will hit the theaters first.
