What Is the Chandrachur Singh Property Dispute?

In his complaint, Chandrachur alleged that his grandfather’s signature was forged on a will in 1997. The actor claims that his grandfather was critically ill at the time and was allegedly not in a condition to sign important legal documents. According to his version, the disputed will ultimately affected the inheritance rights of his father, Captain Baldev Singh.

The actor has also questioned the circumstances under which the will was allegedly executed and who was present at the time.

Why Did Chandrachur Singh Question the Will?

According to Chandrachur’s complaint, his father Captain Baldev Singh was not present in Aligarh when the disputed will was allegedly prepared. He also pointed out that another uncle, Puniya Pratap Singh, had already died before Harender Pal Singh.

These circumstances have become an important part of the actor’s allegations regarding the authenticity of the document.

Chandrachur has further alleged that several valuable properties covered by the disputed will were subsequently sold over the years. He has told reporters that he has collected evidence that he believes supports his allegations and said that he recorded his statement with police after the FIR was registered.

Who Is Captain Baldev Singh?

The property dispute is also connected to Chandrachur Singh’s late father, Captain Baldev Singh, who was a former Congress MLA from Aligarh city.

According to reports, the disputed will allegedly resulted in Baldev Singh being denied his share of the family inheritance. Chandrachur is now pursuing the matter legally, arguing that the document used in the inheritance process was not genuine.

The actor comes from a family with a prominent political and landed background, which has added further interest to the case.

Aunt Gaytri Devi Had Earlier Rejected the Allegations

The dispute is not entirely new. Reports indicate that allegations surrounding the family property had surfaced earlier as well.

Gaytri Devi, who has now been named in the FIR, had previously rejected Chandrachur’s allegations. She reportedly described the accusations as false and accused the actor of trying to implicate her unfairly. She has also maintained that the disputed will was genuine.

This means the legal proceedings will now have to establish whether the allegations made by Chandrachur have sufficient evidence to support them.

Police Begin Investigation

Following the FIR, police have started investigating the allegations. The case is expected to involve examination of the disputed will, signatures, property records and other documents connected to the inheritance.

The police investigation will be crucial in determining whether the alleged forgery actually took place and who, if anyone, was responsible.

At present, there is no final judicial finding that the will was forged. The allegations remain part of the FIR and investigation.

Chandrachur Singh’s Bollywood Journey

Chandrachur Singh is known for his performances in films such as Maachis, Kya Kehna and Josh. He earned considerable recognition during the late 1990s and early 2000s and later appeared in projects including the web series Aarya.

His name has now returned to the headlines for a reason completely unrelated to cinema. The Chandrachur Singh property dispute has turned into a legal battle involving his own relatives and an inheritance that allegedly dates back decades.

For now, the biggest questions remain unanswered: Was the 1997 will genuinely signed by Chandrachur’s grandfather, and did the disputed document unfairly deprive his father of his inheritance?

The police investigation will determine what actually happened. Until then, the allegations should be treated as claims rather than established facts.
