Ajaz Khan Faces Legal Trouble Again as Customs Department Raids His Office: Here’s What Happened

Actor Ajaz Khan, known for his history of controversies, finds himself in hot water once more. Previously, he was detained last year in a drug-related case but was released on bail in May. Now, he’s under the scrutiny of the Customs Department in a new legal predicament. On Tuesday, the Special Postal Intelligence Branch (SPIB) of Mumbai Customs conducted a search at Ajaz Khan’s office located in Andheri. This raid comes after a staff member was arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Reports suggest that the arrested staff member ordered around 100 grams of MDMA, a drug shipped from Europe to the actor's office address.

Details of the Raid and Ajaz Khan Arrest

The Customs Department traced a suspicious consignment coming from a European country that was delivered to Ajaz Khan’s office at the Veera Desai Industrial Estate. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the consignment was linked to the same staff member who was arrested. The market value of the drugs is estimated to be between ₹30 to ₹35 lakhs. Interestingly, the property where the consignment was delivered is not registered under Ajaz Khan’s name. Instead, it appears that the office is rented, and the rental agreement is under the name of a relative of the actor. This is not the first time Khan has faced legal issues; he has a history of arrests, adding to the scrutiny surrounding him.

The Arrested Staff Member and Court Appearance

The staff member, identified as Suraj Gaud, is known to be close to Ajaz Khan and works for him. Following the investigation, authorities monitored the individual who booked the consignment and subsequently tracked it to Gaud. He was initially taken into custody during the raid and later formally arrested. Suraj Gaud is expected to be presented in court today, where further proceedings regarding the case will unfold.
