Who is Sonu Mishra?
Sonu Mishra, also credited as Sonu Mmishra, is an Indian actor who has appeared in Hindi and Rajasthani films as well as television shows. He was born on 30 July 1996 in Buchawas village in the Churu district of Rajasthan.
After completing his schooling in his hometown, Mishra moved to Jaipur. He later received theatre training with the Sarthak Theatre Group at Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK), Jaipur, where he trained under theatre artist Sabir Khan.
Sonu Mishra's Early Career
Sonu Mishra began his acting career with Rajasthani cinema. He made his debut with the Rajasthani-language film Dhanna Jaat in 2010 and later appeared in Educated Binadani.
His early years also included work in theatre and regional entertainment before he expanded his career to Hindi films and television.
Bollywood Debut with Rizwan
Mishra made his Hindi film debut with Rizwan in 2020. He played Ziyad, an antagonist in the film.
The project marked his transition from regional cinema to Hindi films while he continued appearing in television productions.
Sonu Mishra in Salman Khan's Sikandar
In 2025, Sonu Mishra appeared in A. R. Murugadoss' Sikandar, starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna. Mishra played a rally constable in the film.
The project brought him alongside one of Hindi cinema's biggest stars and became one of the more widely recognised film credits of his career.
Television Career
Apart from films, Sonu Mishra has worked in several Hindi television productions. His television credits include Tenali Rama, Vighnaharta Ganesha, Savdhaan India, Crime Alert, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, Ek Duje Ke Vaaste, Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant, Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala and Mere Dad Ki Dulhan.
In Vighnaharta Ganesha, he appeared as Veer Mahendra, while his television career has also included episodic and character-based roles across different shows.
Ram Ram Bolo
Mishra has also worked in music-based projects. He appeared in Ram Ram Bolo, a devotional project based on the Hanuman Chalisa. The project was presented as a visualised rendition of the Hindu devotional hymn.
