Abhishek Sharma’s directorial film Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran is all set to release today. John Abraham, Diana Penty and Boman Irani starrer film based on the true story of a nuclear bomb test.
Story
The film starts from Prime Minister’s office with a high-level meeting about China’s nuclear test, where an IAS officer Ashwat Raina (John Abraham) suggests that India should conduct its own nuclear test, but gets unheard by the ministers. Three years later in Vajpayee Government, Ashwat called back by the PMO to resume his plan and asked to make the team.
Ashwat prepares his team from the system, including RAW officer Ambalika (Diana Penty) to test nuclear bombs in Pokhran. But to do this without getting in the eyes of American satellites is what the rest of the story revolves around.
Acting
John Abraham delivers excellent performance in the film. Diana Penty looks beautiful. Boman Irani has done complete justice to her role. The rest of the cast played their character well.
Verdict
The film’s direction, cinematography, and location are excellent. Abhishek has also used the real 90’s footage in the film. At the same time, Photos of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and APJ Abdul Kalam have also been shown, who played an important role in this mission.
