Story

Prashant Sharma (Anil Kapoor) aka Fanney Khan, is a cab driver and former vocalist in an orchestra. He lives with his wife Kavita (Divya Dutta) and daughter (Pihu Sand) in Mumbai. Prashant dreams of becoming a singer, but he didn't success to achieve his dream and hence pins his hopes on his daughter Lata. Lata is a good singer, but her overweight regularly makes her an object of body shaming on stage. To fulfill his dream, Prashant kidnaps pop-singer Baby Singh (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) with the help of Adhir (Rajkummar Rao). However, Adhir falls in love with Baby Singh, and the film story takes another unwanted twist.

Acting

Anil Kapoor has done a great job as a father. He delivered one of the best performance. Rajkumar Rao cranks up the innocent charm & nails the comic timing. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looks gorgeous and delivers fabulous performances in the film. Pihu Sand has done a great start to the first film. Her charms, acting, and beauty win hearts.

Verdict

The first half of the film was quite boring and slow. The climax scene of the film has been handled quite badly. However, Anil Kapoor's performances make Fanney Khan worth a watch. We give 2.5 stars out of 5 to Fanney Khan.
