According to Bollywood Hungama, Toxic has collected ₹124.62 crore in Hindi after seven days. Based on its current weekday trend, the film is now expected to finish its lifetime Hindi collection somewhere around ₹145–148 crore.

This means the Yash-starrer may struggle to even triple its huge opening-day collection.

Toxic Opened With ₹50 Crore in Hindi

The Toxic box office journey began on a very strong note. The film earned ₹50.31 crore on its opening day in Hindi, giving it an excellent start.

The second day saw the collection fall to ₹21.75 crore, followed by ₹17.40 crore on Friday. The film then collected ₹13.90 crore on Saturday and ₹13.12 crore on Sunday.

Despite the decline, the extended opening weekend gave Toxic a strong overall start. However, the real concern for the film emerged once the first Monday arrived.

Monday Brought a Huge Drop

The biggest warning sign came on the first Monday.

After collecting ₹13.12 crore on Sunday, Toxic dropped to just ₹4.09 crore on Monday, representing a fall of nearly 69%.

The film collected another ₹4.05 crore on Tuesday. While this appeared to indicate that the movie had stabilised, Bollywood Hungama noted that Tuesday's numbers were helped by offers, meaning the hold could not be considered completely organic.

The second Wednesday's collection was therefore considered important for determining how quickly the film would lose momentum.

Can Toxic Cross ₹150 Crore in Hindi?

At present, ₹150 crore appears difficult for Toxic in the Hindi market.

After seven days, the film had reached ₹124.62 crore. Bollywood Hungama estimates that it could add around ₹20–23 crore from this point onwards.

If the film manages a second weekend of around ₹7–9 crore followed by weaker weekday collections, it could reach approximately ₹138–141 crore by the end of its second week.

After that, limited business in the third and subsequent weeks could take its final Hindi collection to approximately ₹145–148 crore.

Why Is the Film Struggling After a Big Opening?

The contrast between the opening day and subsequent collections is particularly noticeable.

The film started with ₹50.31 crore but collected only ₹4.09 crore on its first Monday. Such a steep drop indicates that the film has struggled to maintain the same level of audience momentum after its opening period.

The weekday trajectory, occupancies and expected reduction in the number of shows are among the factors being considered in the current lifetime projection.

However, box-office projections can change if the film experiences an unexpected jump during the second weekend.

Yash Leads a Big Star Cast

Toxic features Yash in the lead role and is directed by Malayalam filmmaker Geetu Mohandas.

The film also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Akshay Oberoi in important roles.

The movie was expected to benefit from Yash's massive popularity following the success of the KGF franchise. Its huge Hindi opening showed that the actor has developed a significant audience outside the Kannada market as well.

What Does the Collection Mean for Toxic?

A projected lifetime Hindi collection of ₹145–148 crore would still represent a substantial theatrical number. However, compared with the film's enormous opening day, the final figure would highlight just how quickly its box-office momentum declined.

If the movie finishes at ₹145–148 crore, it would collect less than three times its ₹50.31 crore Hindi opening day.

The final verdict will also depend on the film's overall India and worldwide business, production costs, distribution arrangements and other commercial factors—not just its Hindi collection.

For now, Toxic faces an important second weekend. A strong hold could push the film closer to ₹150 crore, while another weak performance would make the ₹145–148 crore lifetime projection increasingly likely.
