Maahiya Song From The Revolutionaries Out: Rohit Saraf and Pratibha Ranta’s Romance Gets a Melodic Touch

The much-awaited Maahiya Song from Prime Video’s upcoming period drama The Revolutionaries has been released. Sung by Neeti Mohan and Tushar Joshi, the romantic track captures the growing love between Rohit Saraf and Pratibha Ranta’s characters.

The makers of The Revolutionaries have added a romantic touch to the intense world of their upcoming period drama with the release of the Maahiya Song. The track, unveiled on Friday, September 4, introduces audiences to the softer and more emotional side of the series through the budding romance between Rohit Saraf and Pratibha Ranta’s characters.

While The Revolutionaries is set against the backdrop of India’s freedom struggle and focuses on revolutionary heroes, the new song brings warmth, intimacy and youthful romance into the narrative.

Maahiya Song Brings Romance to The Revolutionaries

Composed by Akashdeep Sengupta, the song has been crooned by popular singers Neeti Mohan and Tushar Joshi. The lyrics have been penned by Tolia Lavraj Singh and Gaurab Chakraborty.

The track celebrates the simple emotions of falling in love. Its melody is soft and soothing, offering a contrast to the high-octane action and historical backdrop of the series.

The Maahiya Song specifically showcases the relationship between Sachindra Nath Sanyal, played by Rohit Saraf, and Pratibha Lahiri, portrayed by Pratibha Ranta.

Rohit Saraf and Pratibha Ranta’s Chemistry Takes Centre Stage

The music video focuses on the growing bond between Sachindra Nath Sanyal and Pratibha Lahiri. Their relationship develops through playful moments and shared emotions, giving viewers a glimpse into the personal lives of the characters behind the larger revolutionary story.

The romantic visuals reportedly feature the pair together during a moonlit sequence, with choreography by Kriti Mahesh. Their playful interactions gradually turn into a more intimate dance, highlighting the affection developing between them.

The chemistry between Rohit and Pratibha has already attracted attention among fans. The two actors recently shared pictures together on social media while promoting the track, with fans expressing excitement about seeing them together on screen.

Neeti Mohan Praises the Song’s Emotional Quality

Neeti Mohan has also spoken about her experience recording the Maahiya Song. The singer described the track as beautiful and soothing, particularly praising the warmth present in its melody and lyrics.

According to Neeti, one of the most appealing aspects of the song is the way it places the woman being loved at the centre of the singer’s emotions. Rather than portraying love through grand gestures, the song focuses on a pure and effortless feeling of affection.

Her comments underline the track’s role as a softer emotional layer within the larger historical drama.

A Romantic Break From a Revolutionary Story

The Revolutionaries is not primarily a romance. The series follows four young revolutionaries who challenged British rule and became part of India's struggle for independence.

The central characters include Rash Behari Bose, played by Bhuvan Bam; Sachindra Nath Sanyal, portrayed by Rohit Saraf; Pratibha Lahiri, played by Pratibha Ranta; and Bagha Jatin, portrayed by Gurfateh Pirzada.

Set in the period following the 1857 revolt, the series explores their friendships, sacrifices, struggles and attempts to build an armed resistance against the British Empire.

Against this serious historical backdrop, the Maahiya Song offers audiences a glimpse into the characters’ emotional world and the relationships that develop amid their dangerous journey.

Based on Sanjeev Sanyal’s Book

The series is based on author Sanjeev Sanyal’s bestselling book Revolutionaries: The Other Story of How India Won Its Freedom. The adaptation aims to bring lesser-known stories from India's freedom movement to a wider audience.

Created and directed by filmmaker Nikkhil Advani, the show is produced by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani under the Emmay Entertainment banner.

The ensemble cast also includes Jason Shah, Paoli Dam and Tota Roy Chowdhury in important roles.

The Revolutionaries to Premiere on September 11

Following the release of the Maahiya Song, anticipation around The Revolutionaries is expected to increase further. The series will premiere worldwide on Prime Video on September 11, 2026.

The show will be available in Hindi, with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Bengali, along with English and other subtitles. Prime Video has announced that the series will be available across India and more than 240 countries and territories.

With its combination of historical action, emotional storytelling, friendship and romance, The Revolutionaries is shaping up to be an ambitious addition to Prime Video’s Hindi original lineup.

For now, the Maahiya Song gives viewers a different glimpse of the series — one where the chaos of rebellion makes room for the simple and universal feeling of falling in love.
