The year 2023 has been a splendid one for Shah Rukh Khan as both of his films, ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawaan,’ have triumphed as blockbusters. While these films have set records that remain unbroken, Ranbir Kapoor’s action-packed movie ‘Animal’ seems determined to shatter these milestones.

Animal Box Office Figures Unveiled
According to initial reports by Saiknilk, ‘Animal’ raked in a remarkable collection of 66 crores on its second day, soaring past the 100 crore mark within just two days, amassing a total of 129.80 crores. On its opening day, the film earned 63.8 crores, with 54.75 crores from Hindi, 8.55 crores from Telugu, 9 lakhs from Kannada, 4 lakhs from Tamil, and 1 lakh from Malayalam.
Surpassing Records
Although ‘Animal’ initially trailed behind ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawaan’ in breaking records, the scenario shifted on the second day. Despite failing to break the opening day record set by ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawaan,’ ‘Animal’ surged ahead in the second-day earnings. While ‘Jawaan’ garnered 63.50 crores on its second day and ‘Pathaan’ amassed 70.50 crores, ‘Animal’ didn’t surpass ‘Pathaan’s’ second-day collection but outpaced ‘Jawaan,’ marking a significant stride in breaking records.
It’s worth noting that ‘Animal’ has now emerged as the third highest-grossing opening film after ‘Tiger 3,’ ‘KGF 2,’ and ‘Baahubali 2,’ solidifying its position among the top openers in Bollywood.
The remarkable success of ‘Animal’ at the box office continues to make waves, challenging established records set by other blockbuster releases in 2023.
