Why Did Farah Khan Suddenly Apologise to Samay Raina? Saba Ibrahim’s Vlog Reveals the Funny Moment

Farah Khan recently appeared in Saba Ibrahim’s vlog, where a light-hearted conversation about her YouTube popularity led the filmmaker to jokingly apologise to comedian Samay Raina. The unexpected moment left Saba and her husband Khalid Niaz laughing.

Farah Khan is known for her straightforward humour and quick wit, and one of her latest appearances in a vlog has once again produced a funny moment that caught attention online. The filmmaker and choreographer recently featured in a vlog with television actor Shoaib Ibrahim’s sister Saba Ibrahim and her husband Khalid Niaz.

During the conversation, Farah unexpectedly looked towards the camera and said, “Samay Raina, sorry.” The remark immediately left Saba and Khalid amused, but the reason behind the apology was far less serious than it initially sounded.

The moment came during a conversation about Farah’s growing popularity as a YouTuber and the kind of content she creates for her channel. Khalid praised Farah by calling her the “No. 1 YouTuber”, prompting the filmmaker to jokingly reject the title.

Why did Farah Khan apologise to Samay Raina?

Saba Ibrahim was praising Farah for the effort she puts into her YouTube videos. She spoke about how viewers enjoy not only Farah’s cooking but also the fun and comedy that she brings into her vlogs.

Khalid Niaz then joined the conversation and declared that, in his opinion, Farah was the “No. 1 YouTuber.”

Farah immediately disagreed with him. She then looked at the camera and jokingly said, “Samay Raina, sorry.”

The filmmaker appeared to be referring to Samay Raina in the context of the “No. 1 YouTuber” comment. She subsequently mentioned other prominent creators, including Sourav Joshi, while explaining that there are several major names in the YouTube space.

Saba then clarified that her original praise was specifically about Farah’s family-oriented content. Farah agreed with that distinction and acknowledged her popularity in that particular space. 

The conversation began with Saba appreciating Farah’s approach to her videos.

Saba highlighted the effort Farah puts into preparing food and interacting with the people featured in her vlogs. She also pointed out that Farah’s videos are not limited to cooking, as they contain plenty of humour and entertainment.

That observation led to Khalid making his “No. 1 YouTuber” comment, which ultimately triggered Farah’s playful apology to Samay.

The entire exchange was presented in a light-hearted manner, with Saba and Khalid laughing at Farah’s reaction. There was no indication that Farah’s apology represented an actual dispute between her and Samay.

Farah Khan and Samay Raina have a connection through India’s Got Latent

Farah Khan and Samay Raina have previously been associated with India’s Got Latent. Farah was part of an unreleased episode of the comedy show alongside Uorfi Javed, Tanmay Bhat and rapper KRSNA.

A clip from that unaired episode had surfaced online in 2025, showing Samay touching Farah’s feet as a gesture of respect. Farah responded to the moment in her characteristic humorous style. The episode was never officially released. 

The footage gained renewed attention again in 2026 when clips featuring Farah, Samay, Uorfi Javed, Tanmay Bhat and KRSNA circulated online. However, reports noted that there was no official confirmation regarding the release of the unreleased episode. 

Farah has built a strong presence on YouTube

Farah Khan’s digital journey has become an important part of her public presence in recent years. Her YouTube videos often combine cooking, celebrity conversations and behind-the-scenes moments from her personal interactions.

Several of her vlogs feature actors and other entertainment personalities, giving viewers a more informal look at celebrities away from film promotions and red-carpet appearances.

Her appearance in Saba Ibrahim’s vlog also reflected this relaxed format. Rather than a formal interview, the interaction revolved around food, YouTube content and casual conversation.

Samay Raina remains a familiar name in the comedy space

Samay Raina rose to wider prominence through stand-up comedy and India’s Got Latent. The comedian's show became a major online talking point before its first season was removed from YouTube following the controversy surrounding an episode featuring Ranveer Allahbadia.

Samay subsequently spoke publicly about the impact of the controversy and the period that followed. In a later conversation, he discussed the pressure he experienced and the consequences for his work. 

Farah has also spoken with Ranveer Allahbadia in one of her YouTube vlogs, where he discussed the difficult period following the India’s Got Latent controversy and the support he received from several people in the entertainment and sports worlds.

A joke, not a serious apology

Farah Khan’s “Samay Raina, sorry” moment in Saba Ibrahim’s vlog was essentially a playful exchange about YouTube popularity rather than a serious public apology.

Her reaction came spontaneously after Khalid praised her as the “No. 1 YouTuber”, with Farah jokingly acknowledging that other creators occupy a major space on the platform.

The brief moment has nevertheless attracted attention because of Farah and Samay’s previous connection through the unreleased India’s Got Latent episode. For fans familiar with that history, her unexpected mention of Samay added another entertaining layer to an otherwise casual conversation.
