Bollywood Actress Vidya Balan, who was last seen in Kahaani 2 in the Hindi film industry, has been roped in to play the role of Shakuntala Devi, the math genius in her next film, directed by Anu Menon.
Shakuntala Devi, the mathematical genius, was known for her talent to make especially speedy calculations. Her talent for numbers earned her a place in the 1982 edition of The Guinness Book of World Records.
The Shakuntala Devi film will be directed by Anu Menon, who earlier directed films like London, Paris, New York, and Amazon Prime Original, Four More Shots Please.
Bankrolled by Airlift, Baby, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha fame Vikram Malhotra’s Abundantia Entertainment. Vikram Malhotra and Vidya Balan had earlier worked together in the 2012’s hit film Kahaani. The film set for summer 2020 release.
