Bollywood Mascot (Mumbai): The comedy film “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video” continues to make waves at the box office, showcasing impressive earnings that have outpaced Alia Bhatt’s “Jiggra.” Starring Rajkummar Rao and Tripti Dimri, the film has captured audience attention with its engaging storyline and stellar chemistry between the leads.

Strong Performance Amidst Competition

Despite facing competition from Dharma Productions’ “Jiggra,” “Vicky Vidya” has shown remarkable resilience at the box office. The film follows the journey of Vicky, a henna artist played by Rajkummar Rao, and his bride Vidya, portrayed by Tripti Dimri. Their honeymoon takes a dramatic turn when their private video goes missing after a burglary, plunging them into a whirlwind of comedic chaos and a murder mystery.

As of Day 5, “Vicky Vidya” has grossed a total of ₹23.35 crores. The daily earnings have been as follows:

  • Day 1: ₹5.71 crores
  • Day 2: ₹7.06 crores
  • Day 3: ₹6.40 crores
  • Day 4: ₹2.33 crores
  • Day 5: ₹2.15 crores

In contrast, “Jiggra” managed to collect only ₹1.60 crores on its fifth day, reflecting a disappointing performance against the rising tide of “Vicky Vidya.”

The Secret to Success

Despite Alia Bhatt’s star power, the comedic timing and dialogue delivery of Rajkummar Rao and Tripti Dimri have played a crucial role in the film’s success. After the hit “Stree 2,” expectations were high for Rao’s latest venture, and while it may not have achieved double-digit numbers, it has certainly left its mark.

The film features a talented ensemble cast, including Mallika Sherawat, Vijay Raaz, and Mukesh Tiwari, who all contribute to the laughter and drama. Mallika’s performance as Chanda marks a significant comeback, and her chemistry with Vijay Raaz has been well-received.

Directed by a Comedy Maestro

Directed by Raj Shandilya, known for his expertise in the comedy genre, “Vicky Vidya” promises to deliver laughs and thrills. Shandilya’s previous works include hits like “Dream Girl” and “Dream Girl 2,” solidifying his reputation in the industry.

As “Vicky Vidya” continues to attract audiences, it stands as a testament to the enduring appeal of comedy in Indian cinema. With its unique storyline and engaging performances, it has successfully carved a niche for itself, even amidst formidable competition. Fans of Rajkummar Rao and Tripti Dimri are certainly in for a treat with this delightful film.
