TP Madhavan was a prominent figure in Malayalam cinema, having worked in more than 600 films. He began his acting career relatively late, at the age of 40, but soon made a name for himself with his powerful performances. His first break came in 1975 when actor Madhu cast him in the film Ragam. Madhavan’s last on-screen appearance was in the 2016 movieDays, a gripping emotional suspense thriller. Despite facing tough times in his later years, Madhavan continued to pursue his passion for acting. He lived in Gandhi Bhavan, Pathanapuram, for the last eight years, after moving there from a lodge in Thiruvananthapuram. A television serial director had helped him transition to Gandhi Bhavan, where he spent his final years. Even during these difficult times, he remained dedicated to acting, playing roles in TV serials and films. Some of his notable television appearances include Moonumani, Priyamani, Valayam, Ente Manasaputhri, and Daya.
