To cope, she now listens to spiritual mantras through headphones to ignore the voices. Her physical and mental health has reportedly worsened due to chronic depression and anxiety. She mentioned suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome, a condition that has significantly impacted her daily life.

Tanushree Dutta became a prominent voice in the #MeToo movement in India in 2018 after she accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment on the sets of the 2008 film Horn ‘Ok’ Pleassss. However, the case was dismissed by the Andheri Court recently due to lack of evidence.
