Sooraj Pancholi has finally addressed the controversy surrounding his name in the Disha Salian death case, saying he has “nothing to hide” and strongly denying that he ever met the late celebrity manager. His statement comes at a time when the case has returned to the spotlight following the Central Bureau of Investigation’s registration of an FIR after a Bombay High Court directive.
Disha Salian, who worked as a celebrity manager and was associated professionally with several personalities from the entertainment industry, died in June 2020 after falling from a residential building in Mumbai. Her death became closely linked in public discussion with the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who died days later. The circumstances surrounding both deaths have generated years of speculation, although the legal investigations into the two cases have followed their own paths.
The latest CBI investigation has once again brought several names into public discussion. Reports on the FIR have mentioned people whose alleged roles are to be examined, but being mentioned in an FIR or complaint does not establish guilt. The investigation is now expected to determine what evidence, if any, supports the allegations.
Sooraj Pancholi Denies Ever Meeting Disha Salian
Amid the renewed attention, Sooraj Pancholi has publicly rejected any suggestion that he had a relationship or connection with Disha Salian.
According to reports, Pancholi said that he had never met Salian during his lifetime and did not have her phone number. He also denied having any communication with her or her family. His central argument is that there is no factual basis for linking him to the late manager.
This is not the first time Pancholi has denied any association with Disha Salian. He had made similar statements in 2020 when his name began appearing in social media posts and reports surrounding the Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Salian cases. At the time, he challenged those making allegations to provide evidence of any connection between him and Salian.
Pancholi has now again stressed that he does not want to remain silent while his name continues to be associated with a case he says has nothing to do with him.

The registration of an FIR represents a significant development because the case has moved beyond the earlier accidental-death inquiry and into a formal criminal investigation.
However, it is important to distinguish between an allegation and a finding of guilt. The CBI will now have to examine witness statements, forensic material, digital evidence, medical records and other available evidence to determine what happened.
Recent reporting has also clarified that names appearing in material connected to the FIR should not automatically be interpreted as accused persons or proof of wrongdoing. One report specifically noted that no individual had been formally named as an accused in the FIR, while several people were mentioned in connection with allegations whose roles would need to be investigated.
That distinction is particularly important in a case that has generated considerable speculation over the past six years.
Pancholi’s Earlier Connection to the Sushant Debate
Pancholi's name first became widely associated with the Disha Salian controversy in 2020, when several claims circulated online connecting him with both Salian and Sushant Singh Rajput.
In an interview at the time, Pancholi denied having any involvement with Salian and also rejected claims that he had hosted a party connected to the events being discussed publicly. He said he had never met Salian and challenged those making accusations to establish a genuine connection.
He also explained that he knew Sushant Singh Rajput socially and had met him a few times through the film industry. According to his earlier account, their relationship was cordial, and he had even attended a screening after being invited by Sushant and Kriti Sanon.
Pancholi maintained that his association with Sushant was entirely normal and that there was no personal conflict between them.
Why the Case Has Returned to Headlines
The Disha Salian case has remained one of the most debated unresolved chapters surrounding the events of 2020. For years, the official investigation and various public claims existed alongside one another, creating a large amount of speculation.
The Bombay High Court’s intervention has now brought the matter into a new investigative phase. The CBI has been directed to examine the circumstances of Salian’s death and determine whether the allegations of a criminal conspiracy or other offences are supported by evidence.
For Pancholi, the renewed investigation has also meant renewed public attention on his name.
His latest statement is therefore less about introducing a new theory and more about making his position clear: he says he never met Disha Salian, never communicated with her and has no connection with her death.
As the CBI investigation progresses, the focus will ultimately shift from public speculation to evidence. Until the agency reaches conclusions based on its investigation, claims surrounding individuals mentioned in the case should be treated as allegations rather than established facts.
