Sanjay Dutt as Munna Bhai Sends Donald Trump a Message

Sanjay Dutt brought back his iconic Munna Bhai avatar on Shekhar Suman’s show and delivered a humorous message to Donald Trump, mixing Gandhigiri, peace and his signature Mumbai-style humour.

Sanjay Dutt recently surprised fans by stepping back into the shoes of his much-loved character Munna Bhai during an appearance on Shekhar Suman’s show Shekhar Tonite.

The actor was asked to imagine himself as the Prime Minister of India for five minutes. Instead of giving a conventional political speech, Sanjay transformed the segment into a full-fledged Munna Bhai-style performance.

With his familiar dialogue delivery and comic timing, the actor addressed issues ranging from peace in India to international conflicts, while also bringing Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy of Gandhigiri into the conversation.

Sanjay Dutt Says He Wants Peace in India

During the conversation, Sanjay Dutt spoke about the current atmosphere in the country and said that he no longer feels the same sense of peace in India.

He praised Indians for being warm-hearted and hospitable and expressed his hope that the peaceful atmosphere he remembers returns soon. The actor also invoked Lord Shiva while expressing his wish for better days.

The serious sentiment was balanced by his Munna Bhai-style humour, which became the highlight of the segment.

Munna Bhai Becomes Prime Minister

Imagining himself as the Prime Minister, Sanjay joked about the responsibility of running such a large country.

He also made a humorous reference to political leaders travelling abroad, saying that he would stay among the people instead of going overseas to celebrate becoming Prime Minister.

The actor then turned to Mahatma Gandhi and his famous three monkeys. Sanjay suggested that modern India needs a “fourth monkey” — one that does not simply ignore wrongdoing but actually tries to correct it.

His performance used humour to promote the idea that citizens should not remain silent when they see something wrong.

Sanjay Dutt Brings Gandhigiri Into Politics

The Munna Bhai character has always been closely associated with the idea of Gandhigiri, and Sanjay once again used that concept during the show.

While imagining his tenure as Prime Minister, he joked about reducing the prominence of political photographs and suggested that the country and Mahatma Gandhi’s ideas should receive greater importance.

Rather than making the segment a straightforward political statement, Sanjay used the fictional Munna Bhai persona to deliver his views through satire and comedy.

Munna Bhai Has a Message for Donald Trump

The biggest talking point came when Sanjay Dutt turned his attention towards Donald Trump.

Calling him “Trump mamu” in classic Munna Bhai style, Sanjay humorously advised him not to create more trouble in the world. He pointed out that there are already enough missiles and suggested that countries should focus more on spreading love.

His solution was pure Munna Bhai. Instead of sending missiles, he joked that countries should send bouquets. Instead of threatening someone, he suggested inviting them home, having tea together and solving the disagreement through conversation.

From Missiles to Love and ‘Jadoo Ki Jhappi’

Sanjay’s message became even more entertaining as he suggested replacing aggression with affection.

The actor used the philosophy of Gandhigiri to argue that peace cannot simply be achieved through threats or force. According to his humorous take, dialogue, kindness and understanding can help resolve conflicts.

He eventually ended his message to Trump by bringing back another iconic Munna Bhai phrase — the “Jadoo Ki Jhappi” — saying he was coming to America to give Trump one.

The moment quickly became one of the most memorable parts of his Shekhar Tonite appearance.

Is Munna Bhai Coming Back?

Sanjay Dutt’s return to the Munna Bhai character has naturally sparked fresh curiosity among fans about the future of the franchise.

The third instalment, Munna Bhai Chale America, had been announced years ago but never materialised. Sanjay’s latest performance does not confirm that another film is being made, but his effortless return to the character is likely to reignite fan interest in the franchise.
