Bollywood News: Salman Khan found himself at the centre of attention after an unexpected fan encounter outside a Mumbai theatre. The superstar was attending a special screening of Prem Keetanu when a fan suddenly crossed the security cordon and moved towards him.
The young man managed to get close enough to hold Salman’s hand, apparently in an attempt to meet the actor or take a selfie. Salman appeared startled by the sudden approach, following which his security team quickly stepped in and moved the fan away.
Salman Khan Attends Prem Keetanu Screening
Salman Khan had arrived at the theatre to support Veer Pahariya and the team behind Prem Keetanu. Before entering the venue, he was seen greeting actor Anup Soni and interacting with people gathered around the screening.
However, the situation changed when an enthusiastic fan suddenly approached the actor despite the presence of security personnel and bouncers.
According to reports, the fan managed to breach the security perimeter and grab Salman’s hand. The actor looked towards him in surprise before security personnel intervened.
Security Team Quickly Moves Fan Away
As soon as the fan reached Salman, members of his security team reacted immediately. One of the bouncers held the man by his arm and pulled him away from the actor.
The intervention allowed Salman to continue towards the theatre without further disruption. The entire moment was captured in a video that has since circulated online and attracted attention from entertainment followers.
The incident has also generated discussion on social media, with reactions focusing on both the need for celebrity security and the manner in which the fan was removed. Some users criticised the security team's handling of the situation, while others pointed out that security personnel have to respond quickly when someone unexpectedly crosses a protective perimeter.
Salman Khan’s Casual Look Draws Attention
For the screening, Salman opted for a relaxed look. He wore a light blue shirt with rolled-up sleeves and white trousers. Dark sunglasses, a watch and his trademark bracelet completed his appearance.
The actor’s visit was primarily to show his support for Prem Keetanu, starring Veer Pahariya. Salman is known to maintain close professional and personal associations with several members of the film fraternity, including producer Sajid Nadiadwala.
Inside the theatre, Salman was reportedly seen meeting members of the film's team, including Veer Pahariya and Aafiya Sayed.
This Is Not the First Fan Incident
The latest incident is not the first time Salman Khan has experienced an unexpected interaction with an enthusiastic admirer.
A similar incident reportedly took place in 2019 during a special screening celebrating the 25th anniversary of Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! A female fan reportedly crossed the security arrangements and grabbed Salman while attempting to take a selfie. Security personnel subsequently intervened.
More recently, in April 2026, another man approached Salman at an airport and placed an arm around the actor while he was interacting with another young fan. His security team moved the man away, while Salman reportedly gestured to his security personnel to calm down and continued interacting with the young admirer.
Salman Has Faced Crowds at Several Public Appearances
Salman’s public appearances frequently attract large groups of fans. Just last month, during Ganpati festivities in Mumbai, the actor was surrounded by a large crowd while leaving a venue. In a video shared by NDTV, Salman was seen requesting people to give him some space as security personnel attempted to clear his path.
Such situations highlight the challenge of managing public appearances involving one of Bollywood’s most recognisable stars, particularly when large crowds gather for a glimpse of the actor.
Salman Continues to Remain a Major Fan Favourite
Despite the unexpected encounter, Salman continued with his appearance at the Prem Keetanu screening and interacted with the film’s team.
The viral video has once again demonstrated the intense attention the actor receives during public appearances. While fans often try to get close to their favourite stars, celebrity security teams are responsible for maintaining a safe distance and responding when someone unexpectedly crosses the designated boundary.
For Salman, the brief incident was quickly brought under control, allowing him to continue his evening at the special screening.
