Salman Khan recently attended a special screening of Prem Keetanu to show his support for actor Veer Pahariya and the film’s team. However, what was supposed to be a routine celebrity appearance turned into an unexpected moment outside the theatre when a fan suddenly rushed towards the superstar and managed to hold his hand.
The incident took place as Salman was making his way into the venue. Surrounded by security personnel and bouncers, the actor was greeting people outside the theatre when the fan moved past the security perimeter. The brief encounter left Salman visibly startled before his security team immediately stepped in.
Fan Suddenly Approaches Salman Khan
According to the report, Salman was outside the theatre when a young man suddenly rushed towards him and managed to get close enough to hold his hand. The fan appeared excited to meet the actor and may have been hoping for a selfie.
Salman seemed taken aback by the unexpected approach and turned towards the man. His security team reacted immediately, with the bouncers firmly holding the fan by his arm and pulling him away from the actor.
The intervention allowed Salman to continue towards the theatre alongside actor Anup Soni, whom he had greeted before entering the venue.
Salman Attends Prem Keetanu Screening to Support Veer Pahariya
Salman’s appearance at the screening was connected to his support for Prem Keetanu, which stars Veer Pahariya. The superstar is also known to share a long-standing association with producer Sajid Nadiadwala.
Inside the theatre, Salman met members of the film’s team, including Veer Pahariya and Aafiya Sayed. His presence at the special screening added significant attention to the event ahead of the film’s theatrical release.
For the occasion, Salman opted for a relaxed yet stylish appearance. He wore a light blue shirt with rolled-up sleeves and paired it with white trousers. Dark sunglasses, a watch and his trademark bracelet completed his look.
Security Team Quickly Steps In
The brief incident once again highlighted the challenges faced by security teams while managing crowds around major Bollywood stars. Salman enjoys a massive fan following, and public appearances often attract large numbers of people hoping to get a glimpse of the actor.
In this case, the security team reacted almost immediately after the fan crossed the established perimeter. The bouncers moved the man away from Salman, allowing the actor to proceed into the theatre without further disruption.
The incident was captured on video and subsequently drew attention online, with viewers discussing the interaction between the fan and Salman’s security personnel.
Salman Has Faced Similar Fan Encounters Before
This is not the first time Salman Khan has experienced an unexpected interaction with an over-excited fan. The Mid-Day report recalls a similar incident from 2019 during a special screening celebrating the 25th anniversary of Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!
At that event, a female fan reportedly managed to cross the security arrangements and grabbed Salman by the arm while attempting to take a selfie. Security personnel intervened and pulled her away from the actor.
More recently, in April 2026, another incident took place at an airport. A man approached Salman while he was interacting with another young fan and put his arm around the actor. Security personnel moved the man away, after which Salman reportedly gestured to his team to calm down and continued interacting with the young fan.
A Brief Moment Amid the Film Screening
Despite the unexpected encounter outside the venue, Salman continued with his plans and attended the special screening of Prem Keetanu. His appearance was primarily aimed at supporting Veer Pahariya and the team ahead of the movie’s theatrical release.
The incident involving the fan was brief, but it once again demonstrated how quickly security situations can change during public appearances involving high-profile celebrities. For fans, meeting Salman can be an exciting moment, but such interactions also need to take place within the boundaries set by security teams.
As Salman continues to make appearances for friends and colleagues in the industry, fans will continue to follow his public outings closely. The latest screening appearance therefore became news not only because of his support for Prem Keetanu, but also because of the unexpected moment that unfolded outside the theatre.
