Security outside Salman Khan’s residence, Galaxy Apartments, in Mumbai’s Bandra area has reportedly been increased following the firing incident involving Tiger Shroff’s car.
According to The Times of India, police personnel wearing bulletproof jackets and police vehicles were deployed outside Salman’s home as authorities assessed the security situation.
The development comes amid concerns about alleged threats circulating after the shooting in Juhu on October 18, 2026. The incident has drawn attention to the security of Bollywood celebrities, particularly Salman, who has faced threats in the past.
Mumbai Police are investigating the Tiger Shroff firing case and examining claims of a possible connection to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. However, the precise motive and alleged links must be established through evidence gathered during the investigation.
Three Suspects Arrested in Tiger Shroff Firing Case
In a major development, three suspects were reportedly arrested at Kota railway station in Rajasthan while travelling on a train from Mumbai towards Delhi.
According to media reports, the arrests involved coordination between the Anti-Gangster Task Force, Rajasthan Police and Mumbai Police.
The suspects were identified as Phool Singh, 17, Rehan, 18, both reportedly from Haryana, and Hrithik Kumar alias Roshan, 22, who was living in Mumbai and originally came from Bihar.
Investigators are examining their alleged roles in the shooting and the events leading up to it. Their alleged involvement remains subject to the legal process.
Earlier, the Mumbai Crime Branch had expanded its search across state borders, including towards Gujarat, after tracing the suspected escape route. The arrests in Kota marked a significant development in the investigation.
What Happened in the Tiger Shroff Firing Incident?
The firing took place on Sunday evening, October 18, in Mumbai’s Juhu area. According to reports, unidentified assailants opened fire at Tiger Shroff’s car as he was leaving a football ground.
Five rounds were reportedly fired. Tiger escaped direct gunshot injuries, but his driver sustained injuries. Another person was also reported injured in the incident.
Police began investigating immediately, examining CCTV footage and tracing the suspects’ movements. Investigators reportedly believe the attackers may have monitored Tiger’s routine before carrying out the shooting.
The actor and his family were left shaken by the incident, prompting concerns across the film industry.
Alleged Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Connection Under Investigation
The case has drawn additional attention after social media messages allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the attack.
Reports also described a purported audio message in which a speaker identified as Anil Pandit allegedly threatened Salman Khan and his family and demanded an apology to Lawrence Bishnoi and the Bishnoi community.
However, the authenticity of the messages and the alleged gang connection remain matters for police investigation. A claim made on social media does not independently establish who ordered or carried out the shooting.
Investigators are examining the messages alongside other evidence to determine whether they are genuine and whether the incident was connected to an organised criminal network.
Why Salman Khan’s Security Is a Concern
Salman Khan has faced security concerns in recent years. In April 2024, two motorcycle-borne men opened fire outside Galaxy Apartments.
The actor was not injured in that incident. Police subsequently investigated alleged links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Following the latest shooting involving Tiger Shroff, the reported threats against Salman and people associated with him have renewed concerns about the safety of Bollywood personalities.
The additional deployment outside Galaxy Apartments appears to be a precautionary measure amid the latest developments. Authorities have not established that the 2024 incident and the Tiger Shroff shooting are directly connected.
Eknath Shinde Visits Tiger Shroff’s Family
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited Tiger Shroff and his family after the firing incident.
Following the meeting, Shinde said the actor and his mother, Ayesha Shroff, were shaken by what had happened. He assured the family of the state government’s support and said threats against public figures would not be tolerated.
The visit underlined the seriousness of the incident and the importance of ensuring the safety of the actor and his family while the investigation continues.
What Happens Next?
With three suspects reportedly arrested, investigators are working to establish the sequence of events, determine the motive and verify the alleged gang connection.
Police are also examining the messages that surfaced after the shooting and assessing whether others may have been involved.
The increased security outside Salman Khan’s home reflects the wider concern surrounding the case, but the investigation must establish whether the threats and the firing are directly connected.
For now, the priority remains gathering evidence, determining responsibility and ensuring the safety of those potentially affected by the incident.
