Salman Khan Firing Case: Shooters Altered Plans After Surveillance at His Properties
The Mumbai Crime Branch has seized a crucial mobile phone used by the suspects involved in the recent firing incident near Salman Khan’s residence. The phone was recovered from Bhuj, Gujarat. Investigations have revealed that the shooters conducted surveillance at Salman Khan’s Mumbai residence four times and his farmhouse in Panvel once before planning the attack.
According to sources within the Mumbai Crime Branch, the new information obtained from the suspects during interrogation has shed light on their activities. They had surveilled Salman Khan’s properties multiple times before plotting the firing incident. Interestingly, Salman Khan had not visited his farmhouse for weeks prior to the incident.
In a significant breakthrough, the Crime Branch team recovered two pistols from the Tapi River, where they were dumped by the shooters. The stable water of the river prevented the pistols from drifting away, which the shooters had not anticipated. During a two-day search operation, the Crime Branch also seized four magazines and 17 live cartridges. One of the suspects, Vikki, has confessed to loading five rounds in one of the pistols.
The Crime Branch has solid evidence against Anmol and Lawrence Vishnoi, who are believed to be the masterminds behind the plot. Both have been declared as most-wanted criminals. Lawrence Vishnoi is currently being prepared for interrogation, while a lookout notice will soon be issued against Anmol. The Crime Branch is gearing up to file charges against the arrested suspects in the case.
The recovery of the mobile phone and the pistols has provided crucial leads in the investigation, bringing the authorities closer to solving the case. The Crime Branch is now focusing on analyzing the call records and chat messages from the recovered phone to gather more evidence.
