Ramayana’s Hanuman Chalisa Released: Diljit Dosanjh Voice Adds Power to Sunny Deol Entry

The makers of Ramayana have released the devotional track ‘Shree Hanuman Chalisa’, featuring the voices of Diljit Dosanjh, Sukhwinder Singh, Mohit Chauhan, Kailash Kher and other singers. The song accompanies Sunny Deol’s powerful introduction as Lord Hanuman in the film’s post-credit scene.

The makers of Ramayana have given audiences another major surprise following the theatrical release of the film's first instalment. The devotional track ‘Shree Hanuman Chalisa’ has been released, bringing together some of India's well-known musical voices. The song accompanies the introduction of Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, adding a powerful devotional element to one of the film's most anticipated sequences.

The track has attracted attention because of its impressive singer lineup, which includes Diljit Dosanjh, Sukhwinder Singh, Mohit Chauhan and Kailash Kher, among other artists. Its release has also generated excitement among fans who were waiting to see Sunny Deol's portrayal of the beloved mythological character.

Diljit Dosanjh, Kailash Kher and Other Singers Join Hands

One of the biggest talking points about the new Hanuman Chalisa is its collection of singers. Diljit Dosanjh, who has built a strong presence across Punjabi music, Bollywood and international stages, has lent his voice to the devotional composition.

He is joined by Sukhwinder Singh, Mohit Chauhan and Kailash Kher, whose distinctive singing styles bring different musical textures to the track. Anirudh Ravichander has also been named among the contributors in reports about the song.

The composition is credited to AR Rahman, adding another major musical association to the ambitious project. The collaboration has brought together artists from different musical backgrounds for a devotional track connected to one of Indian mythology's most celebrated characters.

The makers have used the song to create an atmosphere of devotion and grandeur around Hanuman's arrival. Its release also gives audiences an opportunity to experience the music beyond the film's theatrical sequence.

Sunny Deol Makes His Entry as Lord Hanuman

Sunny Deol's appearance as Lord Hanuman is among the biggest surprises saved for the closing moments of Ramayana: Part One. Instead of introducing the character during the main narrative, the filmmakers have reserved his first glimpse for the post-credit sequence.

The scene begins with a dramatic musical backdrop as Hanuman makes his entry. His complete face is initially kept hidden, building anticipation around Sunny Deol's appearance. A wider shot later shows the character flying through the air with his gada while chanting 'Jai Shri Ram'.

The Hanuman Chalisa plays during the sequence, connecting the devotional track directly with the character's introduction.

This approach gives the audience a glimpse of Hanuman without revealing everything about his appearance. It also establishes the importance of the character in the story that will continue in the second instalment.

Why Hanuman Is Important in Ramayana Part 2

Hanuman's arrival marks a crucial stage in the larger Ramayana narrative. After Ravana abducts Sita and takes her to Lanka, Hanuman becomes one of Lord Ram's most important allies.

He travels across the ocean to find Sita, discovers her location in Lanka and delivers Ram's message to her. His courage and devotion become central to the events leading up to the battle against Ravana.

Hanuman also plays a significant role in helping Ram's army prepare for the conflict. His strength, intelligence and unwavering devotion make him one of the most important figures in the epic.

With Sunny Deol's introduction appearing at the end of Part One, the makers have provided an early indication of the larger role the character will play in the sequel.

Raghav Juyal Also Gets a Glimpse as Meghnada

Sunny Deol is not the only character whose appearance has generated interest in the closing sequence. The film also offers a glimpse of Raghav Juyal as Meghnada, the eldest son of Ravana and the crown prince of Lanka.

Meghnada, also known as Indrajit, is an important warrior in the Ramayana narrative. His presence is expected to add another significant dimension to the conflict that unfolds in the next instalment.

The introduction of these characters gives audiences a preview of the larger world that the filmmakers are preparing to explore in Part Two.

Ramayana Part 2 Confirmed for Diwali 2028

The first instalment has also confirmed the release window for the sequel. Ramayana: Part 2 is scheduled to arrive in cinemas during Diwali 2028.

Producer Namit Malhotra has explained that the team wants additional time to complete the grand finale rather than rush the production. The extra year is intended to help the filmmakers deliver the scale and visual experience they have planned for the second chapter.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. Sunny Deol's appearance as Hanuman sets up an important part of the story still to come.

With the release of ‘Shree Hanuman Chalisa’ and the post-credit reveal, the makers have given fans two major reasons to look forward to the sequel. The devotional track adds to the film's musical appeal, while Sunny Deol's introduction raises expectations for the epic battle ahead.
