Actress Preity Zinta has opened up about the demanding experience of shooting for her upcoming film Vibe. The actress revealed that the schedule was hectic because she had to balance her professional commitments in India with her children, who are based in America.
Despite the travel and workload, Preity said she enjoyed making the film and felt the experience was worth the effort. She also revealed that the script was the primary reason she decided to take up the project.
Preity Zinta Had to Shuffle Between India and America
Speaking to IANS, Preity explained that working on Vibe required her to frequently travel between India and America.
The actress said the shoot was hectic because her children were in America, making it necessary for her to manage both sides of her life while completing the film in India. However, she described the experience as a combination of hard work, fun and discovery.
Preity's comments come at a time when working hours and work-life balance in Bollywood have become a major talking point. Earlier, she had also revealed that she worked for as many as 18 hours a day on Vibe because she wanted to finish her India schedule quickly and return to her children in the US.
Why Did Preity Zinta Choose Vibe?
According to Preity, the biggest reason she agreed to do Vibe was its script.
The actress said she immediately connected with the material when she first read it. She found herself laughing while going through the screenplay and felt that if the script could entertain her as an actor, the completed film could potentially create a similar response among audiences.
For Preity, this was an important factor because she was looking for something different after working on an intense project.
She explained that she had already been involved in something serious and wanted to balance it with a film that was more enjoyable and entertaining.
“It Was a Lot of Hard Work”
While Preity enjoyed the experience, she did not hide the fact that the shoot demanded considerable effort.
The actress described the schedule as hectic and said that there was a lot of work involved. Her comments suggest that the combination of filming in India, travelling internationally and managing family responsibilities made the production particularly demanding.
However, she maintained that the effort was worthwhile.
For Preity, Vibe was not simply another acting assignment. It also became an opportunity to discover something new while working with a different team and exploring a more entertaining genre.
Preity Zinta’s 18-Hour Workdays
Earlier this month, Preity had spoken about working extremely long hours while shooting Vibe.
She revealed that she sometimes worked 18-hour shifts, explaining that her decision was based on her personal circumstances. Since she had travelled to India for a limited period, her priority was to complete her shoot as quickly as possible and return to America to spend time with her children.
She also acknowledged that working for 18 hours was not easy and could leave her exhausted.
Preity's comments were made amid a wider discussion about working hours in the Hindi film industry, but she stressed that different actors can have different circumstances and reasons for choosing particular schedules.
Vibe Marks Another Release for Preity in 2026
Vibe is particularly significant for Preity because it follows her return to films after a long gap.
The actress returned to the big screen with Batwara 1947, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The period drama was released in August 2026 and marked her first major theatrical appearance in several years.
With Vibe, she is taking on a very different kind of project.
Kunal Kemmu Directs and Stars in Vibe
Vibe is written and directed by Kunal Kemmu, who also plays a lead role in the film.
The project features Preity Zinta alongside Sparsh Shrivastava and debutant Vanshika Dhir, with other actors including Yashpal Sharma and Dinesh Lal Yadav in supporting roles. The film is produced by Kunal Kemmu and Chirag Nihalani under Drongo Films and is backed by Amazon MGM Studios.
The story revolves around two close friends whose lives are suddenly disrupted, pushing them into an unexpected situation that tests their relationship and survival instincts.
Vibe Release Date
Vibe is scheduled to arrive in theatres on September 18, 2026.
The film represents another interesting phase in Preity Zinta's return to Hindi cinema. After a period away from regular acting, the actress now has two theatrical releases in close succession.
Her decision to take up Vibe appears to have been driven less by the scale of the project and more by her response to the story.
For now, audiences will have to wait to see whether the fun and entertaining experience Preity found in the script translates successfully to the big screen.
With its September 18 release approaching, Preity Zinta’s Vibe is set to offer the actress another opportunity to reconnect with audiences while showcasing a different side of her screen presence.
