Nora Fatehi Summoned by Delhi Court as Witness in Sukesh Chandrashekhar ₹200-crore Case

Nora Fatehi has been summoned by Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court to appear as a witness on November 2, 2026, in the extortion case linked to Sukesh Chandrashekhar. Her name features in the third supplementary chargesheet filed in the case involving an alleged ₹200-crore extortion racket.

Bollywood actress and dancer Nora Fatehi has once again come into the spotlight in connection with the alleged ₹200-crore extortion case involving Sukesh Chandrashekhar. The Delhi court has summoned the actress to appear as a witness in the ongoing proceedings, bringing renewed attention to a case that has previously involved several prominent Bollywood personalities.

According to a report by Amar Ujala, the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has directed Nora to appear on November 2, 2026. Her name has been included in the third supplementary chargesheet filed in the case as a witness. The court has therefore issued a summons for her testimony.

Importantly, Nora has been summoned as a witness, not as an accused in this particular proceeding.

Nora Fatehi Asked to Appear Before Delhi Court on November 2

The latest development comes after the court issued an order requiring Nora Fatehi to appear and record her testimony in the case. The actress is expected to present her statement before the court as part of the ongoing legal proceedings.

Her name reportedly appears in the third supplementary chargesheet submitted by the investigating authorities. Since she has been listed as a witness, the court wants to hear her account in connection with the matter.

The November 2 appearance is an important development in the case, particularly because Nora's name had previously emerged during investigations into the alleged financial dealings and gifts associated with Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

However, the latest summons does not mean that the actress has been found guilty of any wrongdoing.

What Is the ₹200-Crore Sukesh Chandrashekhar Case?

Sukesh Chandrashekhar is accused of operating an extortion racket through which he allegedly cheated several people, including Aditi Singh, the wife of former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh.

According to investigators, Chandrashekhar allegedly posed as a senior government official and promised to secure legal relief for Shivinder Singh, who was in jail at the time. He allegedly used these claims to extract approximately ₹200 crore from Aditi Singh.

Investigating agencies have also examined allegations that the money obtained through the racket was used to purchase luxury items, vehicles and expensive gifts.

The case has involved multiple investigations by the Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW), the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and other authorities.

Chandrashekhar has faced several criminal proceedings, while the alleged extortion network and its financial transactions have remained under investigation and judicial scrutiny.

Why Did Nora Fatehi's Name Appear in the Investigation?

Nora Fatehi's name emerged during the investigation because of an event organised in Chennai in December 2020. The event was connected to an organisation associated with Leena Maria Paul, Sukesh Chandrashekhar's wife.

During earlier questioning, Nora told investigators that she had attended the event through her professional agency. She also discussed gifts presented to her following the event, including a Gucci bag and an iPhone.

According to her earlier account, she was also offered a BMW car. However, she said she did not need the vehicle because she already owned one. The car was subsequently registered in the name of her cousin's husband, Bobby.

Investigators examined the circumstances surrounding these gifts and the communications connected with the event.

Nora had previously maintained that she was unaware of Chandrashekhar's alleged criminal activities and that her professional involvement was limited to the event.

Nora Fatehi Had Previously Recorded Her Statement as a Witness

This is not the first time Nora has appeared in connection with the case. In January 2023, she appeared before Delhi's Patiala House Court and recorded her statement under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, as it then stood.

Her statement was treated as evidence, and she was regarded as a witness in the extortion case.

During earlier investigations, Nora also cooperated with the Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing and the Enforcement Directorate. She provided information about the Chennai event, the gifts and her communications connected with the matter.

The latest summons is a further development in the judicial proceedings, with the court now seeking her testimony following her inclusion in the third supplementary chargesheet.

Jacqueline Fernandez Also Linked to the Sukesh Case

Another prominent Bollywood personality whose name has emerged in the investigation is Jacqueline Fernandez.

The Enforcement Directorate had previously named Jacqueline as an accused in a money-laundering case linked to Chandrashekhar. The agency investigated allegations involving expensive gifts and financial transactions connected with the alleged extortion proceeds.

Nora Fatehi and Jacqueline Fernandez have had different legal positions in the proceedings. Nora has been identified as a witness in the extortion case, while Jacqueline has faced separate allegations in the money-laundering investigation.

The distinction between their roles is important when reporting developments in the case.

What Happens Next?

All eyes are now on November 2, 2026, when Nora Fatehi is scheduled to appear before the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi.

Her testimony could form part of the court's examination of the evidence and witness accounts in the alleged extortion case.

The latest development does not establish any criminal liability on Nora's part. It is a judicial summons requiring her to participate as a witness in the proceedings.
