Bollywood actress and dancer Nora Fatehi has landed in a legal dispute with an aviation company over comments she allegedly made about one of its chartered aircraft. Dunes Aviation has filed a ₹3 crore civil defamation suit against the actress, claiming that her social media remarks damaged the company's reputation and business.
The case concerns videos that Nora allegedly recorded while travelling from Mumbai to Jaipur in December 2025. According to the company's allegations, she later shared the videos on Instagram and described the aircraft using terms including “miniature”, “toy” and “Lego airplane”.
The matter is scheduled to come up before Senior Civil Judge R Agarwal at a Gandhinagar court on September 25, 2026.
Why Has Dunes Aviation Sued Nora Fatehi?
According to the lawsuit, Dunes Aviation objected to Nora's comments about its aircraft and argued that they could create doubts about the safety and quality of its aviation services.
The company has described the alleged remarks as “derogatory and reckless” and claimed that they were made without technical knowledge, verification or factual basis.
Dunes Aviation has also argued that Nora's large social-media following amplified the impact of her comments. According to the company's claims, the posts resulted in booking cancellations and affected its commercial reputation.
It is important to note that these are claims made by Dunes Aviation in its lawsuit and have not been established as facts by a court.
Company Claims 15–20% Drop in Bookings
One of the most significant allegations made by Dunes Aviation concerns the financial impact of Nora's posts.
The company has claimed that its bookings declined by around 15–20% following the controversy and that cancellations increased. It has described the alleged impact as including financial losses, damage to goodwill and harm to its commercial standing.
The aviation company has attributed the alleged business decline to the reach of Nora's social media posts.
However, the claimed connection between the posts and the reported decline in bookings is part of the company's case and will be subject to the legal proceedings.
Which Aircraft Was Nora Travelling In?
The dispute reportedly relates to a Cessna Citation CJ2 aircraft operated by Dunes Aviation.
According to reports, Nora and her team travelled on the aircraft from Mumbai to Jaipur on December 14, 2025. During the journey, she allegedly recorded multiple videos inside the aircraft and subsequently shared them through her verified Instagram account.
The company has strongly disputed any suggestion that the aircraft was unsuitable or unsafe.
Dunes Aviation Says Aircraft Was Certified and Airworthy
Dunes Aviation has maintained that the aircraft was appropriately sized for the journey and was being operated legally.
The company has stated that the aircraft was DGCA-certified and airworthy and was operating under a valid Non-Scheduled Operator's Permit (NSOP).
The aviation company says Nora's comments therefore created an inaccurate impression about the aircraft and its operations.
The court will ultimately consider the claims made by the company and the response from Nora Fatehi before determining the legal issues involved.
Company Seeks ₹3 Crore in Damages
Apart from seeking ₹3 crore in damages, Dunes Aviation has also asked the court to direct the removal of social media posts and other online content containing the disputed statements or references to the aircraft.
The company has additionally sought a public clarification from Nora Fatehi.
These demands form part of the civil defamation proceedings filed by the aviation firm.
Nora Fatehi's Comments Spark Legal Controversy
The dispute highlights the growing legal risks celebrities can face when making public comments about brands, businesses or services on social media.
Nora has a substantial online following, and Dunes Aviation has specifically cited the reach of her social media presence as one reason it believes the alleged remarks had a wider commercial impact.
What may have started as a casual reaction to a travel experience has now developed into a formal legal dispute involving a substantial damages claim.
Case to Be Heard on September 25
The case will now move forward in the Gandhinagar court, with the next significant hearing scheduled for September 25, 2026.
The court proceedings will determine how the allegations are addressed and whether the aviation company's claims about reputational and financial damage can be established.
For now, there has been no judicial finding that Nora Fatehi caused the claimed business losses or defamed the company. The allegations remain part of the civil lawsuit.
The controversy comes at a time when Nora Fatehi has already been in the news over several issues, making the latest legal dispute another major development surrounding the actor and dancer.
As the case progresses, attention will remain on whether the matter is resolved through the court proceedings or whether the two sides reach an agreement over the disputed social media comments.
