The promotional campaign for Ramayana took an international turn when global YouTube star MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, joined Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and the film’s team at a special event in Mumbai.
MrBeast’s presence immediately became a talking point on social media. He interacted with the cast and makers, while videos from the event showed him alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. However, the promotional gathering also attracted attention because of the reported delay and the resulting reaction from sections of the media.
Ranbir Kapoor Helps MrBeast Say ‘Jai Shri Ram’
One of the most widely shared moments from the event involved Ranbir Kapoor and MrBeast.
In a video from the gathering, Ranbir encouraged MrBeast to say “Jai Shri Ram”. The YouTube creator repeated the phrase, prompting cheers from people present at the event. Ranbir also explained the meaning of the greeting to him.
The moment quickly circulated online and became one of the most recognisable highlights of MrBeast’s India visit.
MrBeast Joins Ranbir, Sai Pallavi And Ramayana Team
MrBeast attended the event alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Ravie Dubey, director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra.
The appearance appears to be part of the makers’ efforts to create international attention around Ramayana. The film is being positioned as a large-scale cinematic adaptation aimed not only at Indian audiences but also at viewers in international markets.
MrBeast’s enormous global following gives the promotional campaign a connection to an audience far beyond traditional Bollywood publicity.
Ranbir Kapoor Also Lifts Shiv Dhanush
Another memorable moment from the event came when Ranbir Kapoor lifted a Shiv Dhanush.
The actor, who plays Lord Ram in the film, first folded his hands and offered prayers before lifting the bow. Videos and photographs of the moment quickly appeared online as the makers began their promotional campaign for the much-awaited epic.
The visual also gave fans another glimpse of how the film’s promotional strategy is connecting its central character with iconic elements associated with the Ramayana.
Why Did The Ramayana Event Spark Questions?
While MrBeast’s presence generated excitement, the event itself also became controversial because of its reported delay.

According to reports, the promotional gathering was delayed by around four hours. Several media representatives reportedly walked out after waiting for an extended period. Moneycontrol reported that the event was initially scheduled for an earlier start but was significantly delayed.
ABP Live’s video report similarly highlighted the questions and criticism surrounding the promotional strategy and organisation of the event. Social media users discussed whether the unusual promotional approach had created more controversy than expected.
Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Chale Jao’ Remark
The delay also led to a moment involving Ranbir Kapoor.
According to Moneycontrol, after learning that some media representatives had already left, Ranbir told those who wanted to leave that they could do so. The report quoted him as saying, “Aap logon ko jana hai toh chale jao.”
Producer Namit Malhotra later apologised to the media over the delay. The press interaction itself was reportedly much shorter than originally planned.
The episode subsequently became another talking point surrounding the Mumbai promotional event.
Ramayana’s New Posters Add To The Excitement
The MrBeast event came at a time when the makers are also releasing fresh promotional material from the film.
A new poster features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Mata Sita and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman together in a single frame. The makers also unveiled a separate poster featuring Yash as Ravana, offering another look at his elaborate character design.
These new visuals have added to the anticipation surrounding the first instalment of the two-part epic.
Ranbir, Sai Pallavi And Yash Lead The Epic
Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita, while Yash plays Ravana. Ravie Dubey portrays Lakshman and Sunny Deol plays Hanuman.
The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios, in association with DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. The film is planned as a two-part epic, with the first instalment scheduled for Diwali 2026 and the second part planned for Diwali 2027.
Ramayana Promotion Gets A Global Push
MrBeast’s involvement has added a distinctly global element to the promotion of Ramayana.
His appearance alongside the film’s lead actors has generated international social media attention, while the “Jai Shri Ram” moment and Ranbir’s Shiv Dhanush appearance have become particularly visible clips from the event.
At the same time, the reported delay and media walkout have ensured that the promotional event is being discussed from multiple angles.
For now, the Ramayana promotion continues to build momentum ahead of the film’s theatrical release, with the makers combining traditional imagery, major Bollywood stars and international digital personalities to attract attention.
