Actress Malavika Mohanan is all set to explore a new side of her acting with Sardar 2. The actor plays an action-oriented character in the Tamil film and has revealed that she thoroughly enjoyed performing the movie’s challenging stunt sequences.
In a recent interaction, Malavika spoke about the physical demands of the role and explained why action came naturally to her. She said she has always enjoyed physically challenging herself and had fun learning and performing the technical aspects of stunt work.
Malavika Mohanan Takes on an Action Role

‘I Really Enjoy Stunts’

Malavika explained that body language, camera angles and timing all play an important role in making an action sequence appear realistic. Actors have to remain focused throughout the scene because even a small mistake can affect the safety and execution of the sequence.
She Pushed Herself Beyond Her Comfort Zone

The actress revealed that she had to push herself to do certain things she was initially scared of because they were completely new experiences for her. She also said that stunt training had been a skill she had been developing for several years.
One particularly challenging sequence involved a 60-foot rope dive, designed to look as though her character was jumping from a falling aircraft. Malavika said the sequence required her to maintain the correct body posture, deliver her dialogue and control her fear while powerful blowers created the effect of falling through the air.

The action in Sardar 2 is closely connected to the characters played by Malavika Mohanan and Karthi. The two portray undercover agents who find themselves involved in a dangerous mission.
Malavika has also discussed a sequence involving the two characters on a plane. She explained that the filmmakers wanted to create an interesting contrast by having her perform action while wearing a skirt, taking inspiration from the visual style often seen in spy films.
The actress has praised Karthi as a gentleman and said she enjoyed working with him on the project.
Sardar 2 Brings a New Action Avatar
The film marks another interesting addition to Malavika Mohanan's growing filmography. She has previously taken on physically demanding roles, including Thangalaan, for which she underwent combat and MMA training.
