Ajay Devgn’s latest offering ‘Maidaan’ seems to be hitting the right notes as it progresses through its box office journey. After a slow start on its opening day, the sports drama witnessed a significant surge in its collections on Sunday.
Released on the auspicious occasion of Eid, ‘Maidaan’ received positive responses from both audiences and critics alike. The film, directed by Amit Sharma, has been praised for Ajay Devgn’s stellar performance, adding to its growing popularity at the box office.
Despite a modest opening day collection of around 7 crore rupees, ‘Maidaan’ managed to pick up pace over the weekend. The film earned 2.75 crore rupees on its second day, followed by 5.75 crore rupees on Saturday. According to early trends reported by Sakal Times, ‘Maidaan’ collected approximately 6.25 crore rupees on its fourth day, bringing its total earnings to 21.85 crore rupees.
Comparatively, ‘Maidaan’ faced stiff competition from Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, which was also released during the Eid weekend. While ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ had a mixed reception, ‘Maidaan’ seems to be holding its ground with its strong storyline and Ajay Devgn’s captivating performance.
Industry experts and fans are eagerly waiting to see if ‘Maidaan’ can maintain its momentum and continue its successful run at the box office in the coming days.
