Following the tremendous success of “Gadar 2,” Sunny Deol’s next film, “Lahore 1947,” has been making headlines with continuous updates. The latest buzz is about a train sequence that promises to leave the audience spellbound.

According to sources, the shooting of “Lahore 1947” will wrap up with this spectacular train sequence. This scene will be filmed on a train that runs between India and Pakistan, adding a layer of historical context and emotional depth to the movie.

“Lahore 1947” is based on Asghar Wajahat’s acclaimed play “Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya, O Jamyai Nai.” Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film features Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta in lead roles.

What’s the Story of “Lahore 1947”?

The film narrates the story of a Muslim family that relocates from Lucknow to Lahore during the partition. They are given a mansion that was abandoned by a Hindu family that fled. The plot thickens when they discover an elderly Hindu woman still living in the house.

Memorable Train Sequences in Bollywood

Sunny Deol and Aamir Khan’s films have previously featured notable train scenes. One unforgettable sequence is from Anil Sharma’s “Gadar,” where a lengthy train scene forms the film’s climax.

In “Gadar,” Tara Singh, played by Sunny Deol, is returning to India with his wife Sakina, son Jeete, and friend Darmiyaan Singh, while being chased by the Pakistani army. The tension and action in this train sequence were palpable.

Aamir Khan’s film “Ghulam” features an exhilarating train scene known as the “10-10 ki Daud.” In this sequence, Aamir’s character runs towards an oncoming Mumbai local train at 10:10, needing to jump before reaching a certain point to avoid being crushed. This scene became hugely popular.

Another iconic train scene is in Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan’s “Sholay.” This sequence brings a significant twist to the story as Thakur narrates the bravery of Jai and Veeru. Even today, this scene is spine-chilling.
