Bollywood Mascot: Famous poet and politician Kumar Vishwas has once again stirred the pot with his bold and controversial remarks, this time focusing on the name of Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s son, Taimur. Known for his outspoken views on various subjects, Vishwas has been making waves with his statements, and his recent comments have reignited the debate surrounding Taimur’s name.

During a recent poetry event at the Tirthankar Mahavir University in Moradabad, Kumar Vishwas raised eyebrows when he criticized the decision to name the celebrity couple’s son Taimur. His comments came after he took aim at the naming choices of famous personalities, particularly in the film industry. Vishwas suggested that celebrities should be more careful when choosing names for their children, reflecting on the broader societal implications of such choices.

In his remarks, Vishwas said, “We, the people of this country, give you popularity, we buy the tickets, and we make you heroes and heroines. But when it comes to naming your children, you choose the name of an invader from outside. This cannot continue.” He further emphasized that celebrities must be aware of the historical connotations associated with names.

Vishwas did not hold back in expressing his reasons for disliking the name Taimur. He criticized the historical figure Taimur (also known as Timur) for his brutal invasion of India in the 14th century. “The man who came to India and committed atrocities against our women and children, that same name is being used for a beautiful, innocent child,” Vishwas said, referring to the historical Taimur. “When this child grows up and potentially becomes an actor, will he be allowed to play villains on screen? Remember, India is waking up, and this is a new India,” he added.

This is not the first time the name Taimur has caused a stir. When Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan named their son Taimur back in 2016, the choice was met with criticism and backlash from a section of social media users. Many pointed to the association of the name with the historical figure known for his violent conquests. Despite the controversy, the couple stood by their choice and dismissed the criticism, defending their decision to name their son Taimur.

Kumar Vishwas’s comments have once again reignited the debate, sparking heated discussions on social media and in the public sphere. While some support his views, others argue that the name should not be judged based on historical associations, and the focus should remain on the child’s future rather than a name from the past.

This latest controversy highlights the growing sensitivity and scrutiny surrounding celebrity names, especially when it comes to choosing names with historical or cultural significance. As the conversation continues, it will be interesting to see how public figures and the film industry respond to such comments and whether it impacts naming trends in the future.

For now, Kumar Vishwas’s remarks continue to be the talk of the town, leaving many to ponder the deeper implications of naming choices in modern India.
