Kriti Sanon, Varun Dhawan and filmmaker Amar Kaushik have sparked fresh excitement among Bollywood fans after reuniting in a social media video. The trio, who previously worked together on the 2022 horror-comedy Bhediya, have left audiences guessing about what they might be planning next.
Kriti shared a video featuring herself alongside Varun and Amar on October 26, 2026. The actress accompanied it with a cryptic caption promising an “unexpected reunion” that would get fans “Obsessed.” Although the post did not reveal any project details, its timing and the trio’s previous association have fuelled speculation about another collaboration.
For now, no official announcement has confirmed whether the reunion is connected to Bhediya 2 or an entirely different project.
Kriti Sanon’s ‘Obsessed’ Post Creates Buzz
The curiosity began when Kriti shared a brief video featuring Varun Dhawan and Amar Kaushik. Her caption read, “An unexpected reunion that will get you 'Obsessed'! Stay Tuned!!”
The use of the word “Obsessed” immediately caught fans’ attention. Some viewers began wondering whether it was a hint about an upcoming film, while others speculated that the trio might be preparing a promotional campaign or another creative collaboration.
Varun also reshared the video, adding to the excitement surrounding the post.
However, neither actor has revealed the purpose of the reunion. The caption appears designed to build anticipation, but it does not establish a film title, release date or production schedule.
Why Fans Are Connecting the Reunion to Bhediya 2
The strongest reason behind the speculation is the trio’s previous collaboration on Bhediya. Released in November 2022, the horror-comedy featured Varun as Bhaskar, a road-construction contractor who is bitten by a wolf and begins experiencing mysterious physical transformations.
Kriti played Dr Anika, a veterinarian who helps Bhaskar understand what is happening to him. As the story unfolds, her character becomes closely connected to the film’s supernatural mystery.
Directed by Amar Kaushik, Bhediya combined creature effects, comedy and elements of local folklore. The film also explored environmental concerns through its central supernatural premise.
The latest reunion has reminded fans of the movie, particularly because the trio appeared to share a playful moment that evokes its werewolf theme. This connection has encouraged viewers to wonder whether another instalment is being planned.
Nevertheless, the social media video alone cannot confirm that the actors are returning for a sequel.
What Is the Latest Update on Bhediya 2?
Maddock Films had previously included Bhediya 2 in its announced slate of upcoming films, with an August 2026 release date initially indicated. However, the project’s current release timeline remains unclear, and the latest reunion post has not provided an official update.
The possibility of another film featuring Bhaskar and Anika is naturally attracting attention because Bhediya forms part of Maddock Films’ expanding supernatural universe, which also includes titles such as Stree, Stree 2 and Munjya.
Varun Dhawan’s character also made an appearance in Stree 2, further connecting the stories within the franchise.
Despite these links, fans will need to wait for a formal announcement before drawing conclusions about the sequel’s production, cast or release plans.
Amar Kaushik, Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan’s Previous Collaboration
Amar Kaushik has become associated with supernatural comedies through films such as Stree, Bhediya and Stree 2. His work often combines genre entertainment with humour, unusual characters and themes rooted in Indian settings.
Kriti and Varun, meanwhile, have shared screen space in Dilwale and Bhediya. Their pairing in the latter film brought together romance, comedy and supernatural storytelling, making the possibility of another collaboration an appealing prospect for fans.
All three have continued to pursue different projects since Bhediya. Their latest reunion could therefore signal a return to the franchise or a completely new venture. Until more information emerges, neither possibility should be treated as confirmed.
What Could the Trio Be Planning Next?
Kriti’s promise to keep fans waiting for something that will make them “Obsessed” has created anticipation without revealing the answer. The reunion might relate to a film announcement, a promotional initiative or another project involving the three.
The timing has made Bhediya 2 a major talking point, but the makers have yet to confirm the connection.
For now, the video has successfully brought the trio back into the spotlight and renewed interest in the supernatural world introduced by Bhediya. Fans will have to wait for the next update to discover whether the reunion leads to a new film or another unexpected collaboration.
