Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming action entertainer King has reportedly added another major attraction to its already star-studded lineup. Kareena Kapoor Khan is said to be making a special appearance in the film for a grand dance number alongside Shah Rukh Khan.
According to reports, the song is titled “Daddy Cool” and is being planned on a large scale. Kareena is reportedly expected to shoot the track with Shah Rukh in South Africa later this month, with around five days allotted for the schedule. However, the makers have not officially confirmed her involvement yet.
A Reunion Fans Have Been Waiting For
If the report turns out to be true, the song will bring Shah Rukh and Kareena together on screen after nearly 15 years.
The two stars have previously shared the screen in popular films including Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Asoka and Ra.One. They have also made special appearances in films such as Don and Billu.
Their last major collaboration was Ra.One, where their pairing was associated with songs such as “Chammak Challo” and “Criminal”. The reported King reunion is therefore likely to trigger plenty of nostalgia among Bollywood fans.

The story is reportedly built around an experienced assassin and his relationship with a young protégé, with Abhishek Bachchan playing the central antagonist. The film combines action, crime and an emotional mentor-protégé dynamic.
December Release Adds to the Excitement
King is scheduled to release worldwide on December 24, 2026, during the Christmas weekend.
The makers are reportedly also planning to unveil a new asset from the film around Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday on November 2. If Kareena’s reported participation is officially confirmed around the promotional campaign, the “Daddy Cool” song could become one of the film’s biggest talking points before release.
For now, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s appearance remains a report rather than an official announcement.
