Kangana Ranaut Exposes Exploitation in Bollywood, Calls Out Saroj Khan

Kangana Ranaut, known for her bold statements, has once again taken aim at the Bollywood industry, discussing the rampant exploitation of women within it. The actress highlighted various tactics used to manipulate and exploit women, referencing a controversial statement made by the late choreographer Saroj Khan regarding sexual misconduct in the industry.

Unfiltered Revelations on Exploitation

At a recent News18 Choupal event, Kangana opened up about the darker side of the film industry. She explained how male actors often exploit women by inviting them to dinner under the pretense of business discussions. “Do you know how these heroes exploit women? They invite them to dinner, message them, and say, ‘Come over to my place.’ Look at the Kolkata rape case; I myself have received threats regarding sexual violence,” Kangana stated, emphasizing that the industry does not treat women with respect.

The actress further elaborated that if college boys make inappropriate comments towards girls, then the male leads in movies are no different. Her comments are a stark reminder that exploitation is pervasive in the film industry, just as it is in broader society.

Criticism of Saroj Khan’s Statement

Kangana didn’t shy away from addressing Saroj Khan’s past remarks, which had previously sparked outrage. Khan had claimed that “every girl faces some form of harassment” in the industry and suggested that while the industry may have its issues, it also provides opportunities. Kangana criticized this mindset, indicating that such justifications contribute to the exploitation of women in Bollywood.

Controversy Surrounding Emergency

In addition to her remarks about industry exploitation, Kangana is currently in the spotlight for her upcoming film Emergency, where she portrays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Originally set to release on September 6, the film’s launch has been delayed due to controversies, including accusations from the Sikh community about misrepresentation. Fans are now eagerly awaiting the new release date.

Kangana Ranaut’s fearless approach to discussing exploitation in Bollywood shines a light on the challenges women face in the industry. By sharing her experiences and calling out industry veterans, she advocates for greater awareness and change. As the release of Emergency draws closer, all eyes will be on Kangana to see how she navigates both her film career and the ongoing discussions about women’s rights in the entertainment sector.
