Kajol recently appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show to promote her latest film Do Patti. During the conversation, the actress revealed that rumors about her death frequently make headlines. She shared a shocking incident when someone called her mother, Tanuja, to inform her that Kajol had died in a plane crash, leaving her mother in a state of disbelief.

“My Death Rumors Keep Circulating Every Few Years” – Kajol

On the show, host Kapil Sharma asked Kajol about the most bizarre rumor she had heard about herself. Kajol humorously responded, “Every 5-10 years, there’s news that I have died. This isn’t just recent; it happened even before the social media era.” She recalled the disturbing incident when her mother received a phone call from someone claiming Kajol had died in a plane crash.

Back then, with no social media, Tanuja was left anxiously waiting for Kajol’s call to confirm she was alive. “Nowadays, it happens quite often too. A while ago, a video even went viral announcing my death,” the actress added, laughing off the absurdity of the situation.

“I Don’t Need Social Media to Hear Rumors About Myself”

Kajol further mentioned that she doesn’t actively search for gossip on social media to keep track of such news. “Whenever something strange comes up, people call me right away and tell me, ‘Look at this weird news about you!’” she said with a smile.
