Ajay Devgn was seen in a different role on Saturday morning when the Bollywood actor joined a cleanliness drive at Mumbai’s Juhu Beach. The initiative was organised after Ganpati Visarjan, when large quantities of waste and puja material can remain along the coastline.
The actor participated in the “Sea Shore Shine 2026” campaign alongside Amruta Fadnavis, founder of the Divyaj Foundation, as well as volunteers, students and civic representatives. Videos from the event showed Ajay wearing gloves and personally collecting waste from the beach.
The appearance comes just days before the scheduled theatrical release of his much-awaited film Drishyam: The Conclusion.
Ajay Devgn Personally Picks Up Waste
Rather than simply attending the event, Ajay actively joined the volunteers in cleaning the beach. Images and videos from the campaign showed him picking up garbage and putting it into collection bags.
The timing of the drive was significant as it followed Ganesh Visarjan, after which Mumbai’s beaches can require extensive cleaning. According to a Loksatta report, the Juhu campaign collected around 34 tonnes of waste during the post-festival clean-up effort.
The campaign brought together citizens and organisations with the broader aim of encouraging cleaner public spaces and greater environmental responsibility.
Ajay Devgn’s Message To Students And Young People
During the event, Ajay spoke to students and young people about the importance of taking responsibility for public spaces.

He drew a simple comparison between a person's home and the city around them. Ajay said that just as people love their homes and make an effort to keep them clean, they should also care about their city, country and seas.
He further stressed that lasting change requires individuals to make their own commitment to cleanliness. According to his message, if every person makes even a small effort, collective action can make a significant difference.
‘Our Future Depends On You’: Ajay’s Appeal To Youth
Ajay also directed his message towards the next generation.
He encouraged young people to politely ask others not to litter and reminded them that public spaces belong to everyone. His message focused on the idea that cleanliness cannot be left entirely to civic authorities and that citizens also have a role in maintaining their surroundings.
The actor's participation therefore went beyond a celebrity appearance. He joined the physical clean-up and used the opportunity to speak about everyday civic responsibility.
Amruta Fadnavis Also Participates In The Drive
Amruta Fadnavis, founder of the Divyaj Foundation and wife of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, was also part of the Juhu Beach initiative.
The clean-up was organised by the Divyaj Foundation in partnership with the BMC and Mumbai Police, with students, NGOs, volunteers and citizens participating in the campaign.
The initiative was focused on addressing post-Ganpati waste while encouraging continued attention to the cleanliness of Mumbai's coastline.
Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3 Connection
Ajay’s beach clean-up appearance comes at an important time professionally. The actor is currently preparing for the release of Drishyam: The Conclusion, the third Hindi instalment of the popular thriller franchise.
The film is scheduled to arrive in theatres on October 2, 2026, with Ajay returning as Vijay Salgaonkar. The cast also includes Shriya Saran, Tabu, Jaideep Ahlawat, Rajat Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav.
The actor has therefore been receiving considerable attention ahead of the film's release, but his latest public appearance focused on an issue completely separate from cinema.
Fans React To Ajay Devgn’s Juhu Beach Initiative
Videos of Ajay participating in the clean-up drive quickly circulated online. His decision to personally pick up waste alongside volunteers attracted attention from fans and social-media users.
The images also offered a different side of the actor, who is currently in the spotlight for a major film release but chose to spend part of his weekend participating in a civic initiative.
The campaign's message was ultimately broader than one celebrity's participation. It focused on the need for citizens to contribute to maintaining cleaner beaches and public spaces.
Ajay Devgn’s Message Goes Beyond The Beach
Ajay Devgn’s participation in the Juhu Beach clean-up drive has added a social-awareness element to his busy Drishyam 3 release schedule.
From wearing gloves and collecting waste to speaking directly with students, the actor used the event to underline the importance of individual responsibility. His central message was straightforward: keeping public spaces clean requires the same care that people give to their own homes.
As Drishyam: The Conclusion approaches its October 2 release, Ajay’s Juhu Beach appearance has given fans another reason to talk about the actor—this time not because of a film scene or trailer, but because of his participation in a real-world cleanliness campaign.
